Description: C&O Trattoria (C&O) has been open since 1969. Now a well known Venice Beach landmark, serving Northern Italian breakfast, lunch and dinner daily. It has become known for good food and friendly service in a relaxed garden setting. On May 1, 1993, C & O Trattoria officially opened a Northern Italian concept, unlike any other in Los Angeles, serving gargantuan portions of high quality Northern Italian pastas at unbelievably low prices. Add our "Killer Garlic Rolls," nightly sing along, honor wine bar, and friendly team service and you have the C & O Trattoria, one of LA's premier Northern Italian eateries.

“great restaurant for a celebration”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 17, 2013

The food is delicious and the restaurant offers an individual size as well as a larger size. C&O offers a nice selection of wine and beer as well. About once an hour, lyrics are handed out and everyone participates in singing "That's Amore." This makes for a festive environment as the manager, hostess, waiters and food runners walk around to all of the tables and toast with the guests. The restaurant has a nice array of desserts as well as capuccinos and coffee. And the beach is right here so you can walk off your dinner afterwards. Oh and did I mention the little garlic and butter laden rolls they offer to those waiting outside? They are so scrumptuous.

“Evening in Venice”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 17, 2013

My wife and I dined at C&O on a Friday night in March. We arrived at around 6 and were seated immediately. Daniel introduced himself as our waiter and asked if we'd dined there previously. We hadn't so Daniel gave a brief overview of the restaurant, telling us about the "honor system" Chianti, warned us not to overdo it on the delicious garlic knots (we found it hard to heed this advice though we tried), and went over the menu. He was very helpful with our questions and very attentive through the meal without being intrusive. We started with a calamari appetizer which was one of the best we've ever had. Very tender and tasty, and the sauce was a nice complement, not overpowering. I had Linuine Mare, a mixture of linguine and several types of shellfish in a marinara sauce. My wife had chicken fettucine in a cream sauce. They were both excellent. The service and atmosphere were very nice, and the price is very reasonable - we had an appetiser, salad, two entrees, and two glasses of wine for about $60 - and everything was superbly prepared and was delicious.
We'd go back in a heartbeat.

“That's Amore! Great pasta, Garlic knots, Steps from beach and u get to sing!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 16, 2013

Table for 3, we had shrimp ravioli, fettucine pescadora and shrimp papardelle with fresh asparagus, mushroom with lobster cream sauce........still drooling.

Calamari appetizer and honor wine bar......great house red!

half way thru the meal they pass out a song sheet with words to " thats amore" and you hold glass high while singing and toasting with the staff, it was a blast.....so much fun and it sets C&O apart from any other just for that reason, the whole restaurant becomes involved and u feel like a part of a big Italian family. Not only was the food good, our service was great and because of location u can walk it off at the beach, stroll the boardwalk, oh forgot to mention
house made tiramisu and cannoli were excellent. At the end of dinner my son who is 23 mentioned he cant wait to come back with his friends.......

“Fun atmosphere but food quality has dropped”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed March 16, 2013

It is a lively fun atmosphere with large portions. Unfortunately, they have started using cheaper ingredients like their shrimp. It really affects the taste of the dish. The garlic knots are always delicious. This place is good for large parties and has good service. Just dont expect a great meal. It has become very touristy.

“Good Food "That's Amore"”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 15, 2013

Delicious garlic knots to start. Very reasonably priced self-serve chianti and large portions of pasta. But that's not all... the whole restaurant sings "Amore" while each staff member comes to your table to clink glasses. Great place!
