We actually had a reservation at this hotel (check-in July 9th, check-out July 10th). But as you can see, I am posting this at 2AM on July 10th. A matter of fact, I am posting it from a room at the Marriott a few blocks away!
This hotel was a disaster, and it almost ruined our entire trip. From the disinterested and semi-rude "gentleman" working the front desk, to the peeling wallpaper and shabby interior... My wife and I were completely disappointed almost from the moment we stepped into the lobby.
The first room we were given was on the 1st floor. It was a Smoking room (with cigarette burns, or something, on the carpet) because "they had run out of non-smoking rooms" even though we had reserved one 2 weeks prior. When my wife realized that the sliding glass balcony door was not lockable (there was a strange screw mechanism holding it in place, but it was broken), we complained and received a second room, this time on the 3rd floor.
The room was shabby (but we had realized we would have to settle), but the view was great. As my wife pulled down the bedspread so our daughter could take a nap, they both screamed. FLEAS. :-( They were EVERYWHERE. My wife and I were disgusted.
Needless to say, I had a 'friendly' chat with the disinterested front desk guy, and not only were we given a full refund, but they paid for a night at a 'neighboring hotel' which happened to be the Marriott. This was all arranged via the manager, not the desk guy.
My family and I, and everyone we know, will never frequent this establishment EVER again. Even though it ended up being "free" it was still atrocious. Please beware!
