“Excellent service”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 13, 2012

Awesome quiet location, 10 minutes fron LAX.
Staff are very friendly and helpful, make you feel very welcome and the food is excellent.
The decor is a little dated and yes if you book try to get level 3 rooms as you can hear noise from the rooms above... in saying that it is a small price to pay when you get such good customer service from all staff you encounter.
Views are great, walking distance to Venice Beach - excellent Italian restaurant down at the beach.

Room Tip: top floor would be best facing pool and marina.

This hotel is in a perfect location and the rooms (we had 2) are spacious, clean, great views, and quiet. All the staff we came into contact with were courteous and very helpful. However, we must give a special THANK YOU to Joseph at the front desk. We got lost - very lost trying to get to the hotel. Joseph guided to the hotel expertly. But, the story doesn't end there: every day we went to some attraction (we were there 3 days), we got lost on the way back. Joseph was always patient and got us back. His humor was also appreciated. We would come back.

It is not possible to improve on the location. The view of the marina is outstanding. The restaurant is top notch for the price and the Filet Mignon is one of the best I have had.
The rooms are clean but dated as is the overall condition of the hotel. The staff is rather casual an issue with my room were not resolved completely. With that said I would stay again because of location, restaurant and the hotel is clean.

After experience many spot in the area I probably found a good one.
Fast free internet, private garden, little fridge in the room, this place is convenient and perfect for relax after a day in LA terrific traffic jungle.
I forgot you have a little beach in the marina not bad...people are nice and make you feel like if you are at home.

We were impressed with this hotel it is in a nice location on the harbours edge, checked in ok no problems.
Room was large ,quiet and clean although bathroom could have done with a bit of attention due to general wear and tear.
There was a pool which was an added bonus we only stayed one night but would have been happy to stay longer.

Room Tip: High floor room an advantage

I got a good deal on this hotel from hotel.com and was overall impressed.

The location overlooks the marina and is someway from the main street. Parking is free and the lot is large.

I had a slight delay in checking in as my room was not quite ready, I was a little early getting there. The room itself was good with a beautiful view over the marina towards LAX, the TV in the room needed an update flat screen, but overall good quality.

The room service was excellent, breakfast looking out over the marina was one of highpoints of my trip.

My wife and I stayed for 2 nights. We were on the 1st floor and could hear every sound from the room above - people walking across the floor woke me up! The floor tiles in our bathroom were badly cracked and were loose - this could cut bare feet. The towel rail was hanging off the wall.
The good news is the staff - excellent with a special mention to receptionist Anthony to whom nothing was too much trouble. When I discovered that I had forgotten my adaptor to US power, he rang several stores to locate one. All the staff were good. The room was reasonably clean but the window was dirty and several marks on the carpet. The bed was comfortable.
Happy hour was a special price on house wines and beers but only in a section of the bar - we asked if we could sit on the terrace and were told if we did then the happy hour did not apply. Who makes up these stupid rules?
We had Fish and chips, and Linguine - both very good.
The hotel needs renovating but is in a good location.

Room Tip: Choose top (2nd) floor so that nobody is above you!
