I enjoyed my stay here very much. The room was large and the bedding was lush. My shower had a lot of pressure and the bathrooms were large with nice toiletries. The TV had a million choices and movie choices.

The location is nice- you can easily walk the ten minutes or so to the heart of Venice Beach. The hotel is in Marina del Rey, which is classy and not at all like the vibrant bohemian vibe of Venice.

Roomservice was pretty good. Staff was nice. The pool was small and not very exciting, but the jacuzzi was nice. They have soft music playing throughout the whole hotel which is a nice touch.

The Bayview Room at the top of the hotel was gorgeous with its 360 degree views. Spectacular. I'd definitely stay here again.

  • Liked — The room was large and nicely decorated
  • Disliked — The pool

We called the hotel the day of to see if they had any openings. They gave us a room (Queen bed) for $130 per night. The room was very nice, lobby was comfortable, staff was friendly, loved the complimentary coffee and water, and they had some computers/internet in the lobby for free. Parking was free too. The pool was very nice and relaxing feeling. Towels were provided, the hot tub was nice, and the main pool felt like bathwater. Overall great experience, great price!

My husband and I obtained a room block at this hotel for our wedding. First they gave us a rate that was more than their listed internet rate. Once that was straightened out, we continued to have problems. They kept pulling people out of our room block and giving them other, more expensive, rates. Works our great for them if the people are at the hotel and not in the block because then the bride and groom have to pay for the 'empty' rooms they didn't fill.

They failed to give out the gift bags which had the itinerary in them (important things like when the shuttle busses would be there to pick them up and where the rehearsal dinner was), they gave away our suite the night before the wedding (despite my husband calling and telling them when he would be there -- we had to go pick guests up at the last minute since none of them knew when the other pick ups were happening -- lack of itinerary), they failed to provide the champagne the night of the wedding like they promised.
The paperwork for our brunch was not left at the front desk, as our event person promised,...no one knew about the brunch at the front desk ( a little scary). The next day, most people were charged an incorrect rate that was different from our room block.
We also had a few guests who were staying a bit longer and the hotel shut off all the power...without telling them in advance.

Like many things in Los Angeles, the hotel looks good from the outside, but has no substance. I would encourage you to look elsewhere for a hotel.

  • Liked — it was 4 miles to our wedding venue
  • Disliked — the bungled everything about our roomblock including giving away the bride and groom's suite, no attention to detail, complete lack of organization

This is a three-star hotel that could almost be rated four stars. It is clean and the rooms are spacious. Pretty big, modern bathroom. The only draw backs are the pool and hot tub. They could stand to be cleaner. Also, some minor upgrading needed in the hotel itself. A few stains on hallway carpets and room ceilings. $25 for valet parking every day is a rip off! I heard that you can park across the street for only 3 bucks daily.
However, overall, this is a nice hotel that is located in a nice area.

Interesting lobby with candles and flowers. The front desk was very helpful. They were oversold because people who were supposed to check out extended their stays. I believe that because I overheard two different people say so at the front desk.
I had to have 2 beds and it was guaranteed. The room was not cleaned so we went out to dinner and it was ready when we came back. It was very nice but I did specifically request the non marina side so I would be away from the noise of the outside bar which was popular. We did get an 9th floor room. The beach was across the street. I ate at the diner Edies(?) across the street on the marina side, which was good.. The valet was quick but $ 26.00 per day is high even for LA. I would have parked across the street if I had stayed longer. Coffee in the lobby was tasty with flavors you could add. The gym was small but well ventilated and they had headphones, water and fresh fruit. The swimming pool is very small if you like to swim laps. The weather was fabulous. I asked for directions and the front desk did a Map Quest for the Pier where I had to drop my son and the the Getty Museum. I dealt with 3 different people at the front desk and they all were helpful and remained calm in their oversold situation.
