This is the second location of this restaurant on Artesia near Sepulveda. The food is just what you want in a Mexican restaurant - tangy tasty salsa, crunchy chips, great tacos (I like one soft chicken taco) and the best cheese enchiladas I've ever eaten. Family also orders carnitas plate entree along with a platter of those cheese enchiladas ala carte. Big crowd on a Saturday at 2PM. It is family business catering to local family customers with a big takeout market. The booths are old fashion but comfortable. Wait for one! They accommodate larger parties by moving the freestanding tables and chairs around. There is usually at least one large party here at night and weekends. The rating is based entirely on the food. Do not expect an upscale restaurant atmosphere because this is a laid back cafe in a laid back beach community with very reasonable prices and food cooked to order quickly. The flavors are genuine and not masked by too much black pepper as other local restaurants do. Usually run into friends here and this trip was no exception.
