“Nice find”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 23, 2012

We only stayed for a long weekend but we were happy with our two bedroom "suite" This hotel is
not really fancy but it is in a great location to be able to enjoy many of the area's amenities. Very close to the pier and fabulous restaurants. We were with a very large group of people and some did have concerns about their rooms, however ours were quite fine. Housekeeping spent a good
amount of time in our suite cleaning so we were not really uncomfortable in any way. Not the best place we have ever stayed but much better than what we had anticipated with the price we received. For a short stay, I would not hesitate to stay again. Free continental breakfast was certainly good although fairly plain if you are planning on staying more than a few nights.

Room Tip: arrive early if you can and if for some reason your room is not to your liking, request a move how...

This hotel is not safe. The rooms are dirty. Lights do not work and bathroom door was falling off it's hinge. The tub was so bad you could see the mess wire at the bottom. We pulled the curtains closed to only watch the bugs fall from the spider webs. Called the front desk to discuss and said we are not comfortable staying the feed back was "we agree this is a dump". We left at 1:00 am and did not sleep in this hotel. We are now fighting with Expedia to get our money back. We stayed near LAX at a Merriott for $10 cheaper. Don't do it!!!

Old hotel with horrible service. Rooms well below standard...seems like no one comes here. Pool is scuzzy and hallways are dirty with leaves and cigarette butts. Bathroom door was hanging off and spiders were in tub. Dude at front desk could only grunt at us.
We got a fantastic room by LAX for same price at the courtyard Marriott... BEWARE!!

Me and my wife stayed here for a week during a trip to the US.
On arrival we found the hotel on the corner of 9th and North Sepulveda Boulevard. With plenty of underground parking. The parking was not secure but because of the area we found that didnt matter. (no tramps or shady people hanging around)
There is a lift for the car park up to the lobby and the second level of rooms.
At reception we were told that we had been upgraded for the entire stay, this was a nice touch as our room had a 2 person hot tub, as well as proper cable TV. Unfortunately it did smell a lot like cigarettes and as a recent quitter found this quite annoying as we had asked for none smoking. HOWEVER! we had been upgraded so i wasn't going to complain. Nothing a little air freshener couldn't handle.
Other than that the room was large and clean with plenty of storage and hanging space.
The bathroom had an automatic light, which was a nice touch when going to the loo at 5am!
Wired and wireless internet was useful, the wired was very fast, although we had no problem using the wireless with both a PC and mobile phones.
large desk space and two phones with free local calls.
The bed and pillows were comfortable and we slept very well. barley any noise from other rooms.
The door to the room opens out on to the pool area which is fenced off with railings. I didnt use the pool but it looked clean and well maintained. There was also a hot tub Jacuzzi which we didnt use as we had our own!
I did however use the sauna, which was a nice touch in a 3 star hotel, if you do use it though, go and switch it on 10 mins before you go in. Otherwise you will wait for ages for it to warm up.
Breakfast was included which was a selection of cereals and english muffins, bagels, pastries, coffee juices and fruit. We thought this was very good for a free breakfast, we had definitely had worse! (see my other reviews!)
Front desk was helpful and there was a number of samples to take on the counter.
I can honestly say that this hotel was good value, and perfect for sightseeing around the LA area, as loong as you have a car!
People had said they were disappointed but to be honest i have stayed at a lot worse and paid a lot more.

Room Tip: Ask for a hot tub upgrade! its worth a try!

The set up is very motel-like; sure it's nice because it's California and weather is usually nice but it definitely needs an upgrade. There is free parking but the parking is limited. I never really saw anyone get into the pool either. I don't know what it was but I barely saw anyone in it. I saw one lady in the jacuzzi that was it. The mini fridge we didn't have a problem with. There were stains in the floor though. There is however continental breakfast which had a variety of strudels, bagels (with cream cheese or butter) and cereal; then you have the usual, coffee, orange juice, apple juice or water. If I had a choice, I wouldn't stay at this hotel.

I booked this hotel on Bookit.com - against my better judgement and should have listened to that little voice. We arrived at LAX at 8:20 and after getting our bags called to have the "free shuttle service" pick us up. It was about 8:50 at the time of my call and the lady at the front desk said we stop pick ups at 8:40, she was very rude when I said that information was never given to me by bookit.com - she stated you should have called the hotel direct!. Then once we get to this hotel the stench in the front lobby was so bad I had to ask her to hurry so we could get to our room. The room: - well this is worst than any motel 6 I have ever stayed in, the carpet was stained and the room smelled musty. We finally all got to sleep and sround 3:00 another guest was drunk and so loud he had to of waoken up the whole hotel - the front desk lady said there was nothing she could do about the noise. We had a room with 2 queens and paid $112.00 plus $25.00 taxi ride and would have been better off staying at the Raddison Inn by the airport for $165.00. I willnever make this mistake again and hope others stay away from this hotel.

Room Tip: do not stay here

I picked the hotel because of the free parking, free airport shuttle in the morning and the free breakfast but it didn't really deliver. I guess you get what you pay for which was about $100 per night.
The first think I noticed on the way to my room which is right across from the pool area, is that there is a health code violation sign on the gate surrounding the outdoor pool. I don't know what the violation was but i didn't see anyone actually get in the pool while were there, but some people were using the tables and loungers.
The room had a musty smell to it and looked dirty and run down. There was garbage and stains on the tile floor outside the bathroom and the mini fridge was gross.
The bed was comfortable enough and the shower worked ok but we were on the bottom floor and we could hear the people above us walking and jumping around.
The first shuttle to the airport in the morning is 6am so if you were hoping to get there sooner, you will have to take a $20 taxi ride.
There was no free continental breakfast for us since we had to leave on the shutle at 6 and the breakfast area doesn't open til 7am which doesn't make sense since it is all serve yourself juice and cereal machines...
I wouldn't stay here again
