“A pretty good hotel”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed August 6, 2011

A nice hotel with friendly staff and clean rooms, and in a convenient location to manhattan beach. I think I was expecting something a little nicer, possibly based on the photos on their website...! We had a ground floor room by the car park so maybe some rooms had a better outlook. The beds were comfy, and the pool looked nice although I never got a chance to go in. Manhattan beach is a nice area to stay in for a more laid back and suburban feel, and there's a reasonably good shopping complex over the highway, as well as a wholefoods market nearby. The dinner was nice and the breakfasts offer a good range of fruits. One of my traveling companions enjoyed the waffles. If you need somewhere closer to the airport than Hollywood and the more touristy parts of LA then the belamar is probably a good option. So: a pretty good hotel for it's class.

This is a very nice place for one to lodge if they want a decent, but not expensive place to stay in Manhattan Beach area. The rooms are very clean, modern, spacious, with good amenities and appointments. The beds are quite comfortable. Management is cheerful and helpful. The exercise room is pretty small, though functional. The hotel's location is awesome - just a couple miles from the beach and near [but not right on] some main thoroughfares and close to good shopping.

This hotel is a little over 1.5 miles from the beach with many restaurants close by. The employees were all extremely helpful and the restaurant/bar on site was fine if a little over-priced. It is close to some major roads so our room with an outdoor balcony went unused as the traffic noise made it hard to converse. There is a nice small pool and courtyard. The beds were comfortable, though the standard rooms a little small.

Hip and trendy! Close to all the action but far enough away that you can escape!

Really liked the feel of the place. The front desk was helpful in letting us know about things to nearby. We also enjoyed the breakfast though not as extensive as some of the bigger hotels but it was good. The rooms are ok, liked the alarm radio thing with ipod hookup. They provide bicycles if you want to go to the beach etc. Also if you need a rental car they can get one delivered to the hotel which was really useful for us. overall it has a nice feel. we will go again.

We were here for a wedding in Palos Verdes, but did not want to stay in a "box" hotel. The rooms were clean, great bikes and an easy run or walk to beach. If you are an active person and want to stay somewhere in LA where you can jog to/on beach, this is the place. Whole Foods is also located in a mall across Sepulveda.
