“A hidden gem in Manhattan Beach”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 20, 2011

We went to lunch at Fishbar at the recommendation of a family member who lives in the area. Based on the unassuming exterior I wasn't expecting much but the place was really nice on the inside and the food was spectacular. Their fresh made clam chowder puts to shame the gummy junk that most places serve up. The fish tacos and mesquite grilled mahi we ordered were super fresh and expertly prepared. Best of all, the prices are really very reasonable for the quality of food you get. Service was friendly and efficient. Go soon because this place is destined to become very popular.

“Fantastic Seafood in a great location for a reasonable price!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 20, 2011

I came in during dinner and they were pretty busy but i got a table quickly and the waitress recommended the clam chowder to start. It was as good as anything you could find in San Fran or Boston. I ordered the "El Porto" (the restaraunt is in an area called El Porto) and it was strong but delicious. I had the Mahi Mediterannean for dinner and it was cooked perfectly and tasted fantastic. Talked to the manager for a bit and they said the key was they always had fresh fish in stock and they were adamant about having only super fresh seafood served to their guests. I treated myself to Creme Brulee and left 100% satisfied. Great find.
