“Home away from Home...”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 24, 2012

I travel at least once a month to the Madera Holiday Inn Express due to business. It's right next to the freeway and has access to a number of restaurants and and city attractions. However, it the staff that makes me come back, and the upkeep of the hotel. It is like coming home every night I stay there. They remember your name, they smile and will assist you in anyway possible.
It's got a great breakfast, and the exercise room is on target. It has a laundry and pool and a hot
spa. Comes inhandy on those long days at the computer and the road. So if you are in the Madera area, don't pass up on the home style treatment you get at this hotel...I travel 14 days out of each month, so I appreciate it when I can say; its like coming home!
ps. I would have given them excellent, however there is always room for improvement!!!

Room Tip: I like the bottom floor, the ones in the back are closer to the side door for easy access.

Patricia M,
Thank you so much for taking the time to leave a wonderful review of your stay here at our property. I can’t tell you how much our staff really looks after each guest and truly makes them feel like this is their second home especially guest like you that are here every week or every month. And I do agree that our location is the best because of the easy freeway access and restaurants especially Starbuck’s directly across the street.
Yes! There is always room for improvement that is our goal here at the Holiday Inn Express. We appreciate you and look forward to seeing you next month.
Thank you so much!

“Very Average”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed August 26, 2012

Checked in w/o a reservation. The desk clerk was friendly and efficient.

The room was clean and quiet and everything worked as it should.

The only complaint I had with the entire stay was that the toilets are the smallest toilets I have ever seen. They were made in Viet Nam and were suitable for the average 13 yr. old. Not a good place to try and save money when outfitting the rooms. I am 6-5 and 235.

There was really nothing above average about this place. Next time I will stay in one of the several newer H-I Expresses in towns within 20-30 miles north or south of here.

“Excellent Customer Service”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 3, 2012

My family and I travel to the Fresno area almost weekly. Holiday Inn Express in Madera is the only hotel that we will stay in because the customer service extends far beyond that of any other hotel, so much so that I don't even have to state my name on the phone for the staff to know who they are speaking to. We are always overly accomodated to, such as reserving a favorite room to giving advance notice of possible sell outs. The rooms have always been impeccable, staff is always courteous and foward thinking, and yes it is nice to have hot cakes ready for breakfast! This hotel has exceeded expectations of what we call "hospitality" and has been able to tailor the experience to individual needs. Not only have we recommended Holiday Inn Express in Madera to fellow colleagues and family but will continue to do so in the future to come.

“Nice stay”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 20, 2012

We were tired from driving, and wanted a comfortable place to sleep. The room was nice, the bed was incredibly comfortable. Our only complaints were, they ended breakfast at 9:30 on a Sunday morning, and the coffee pot in the room was a one cup brewer, and AC did not get cold enough. Everything else was wonderful.

“Everything you need for a great stay!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 11, 2012

From the Monterey Bay Area, we wanted to stay near Fresno for a family funeral and combine it with a little recreation at Table Mountain Casino during our overnight stay. The hotel had a King room available for a super early 9:30 a.m. check-in so we could dress for the funeral service. After the service, we came back and changed for Table Mountain. After making our fun "deposit" we returned for a relaxing evening and had wonderful night's rest on their comfy beds. Room 214 was a spacious, end room that was quiet and had a convenient medium sized microwave and refrigerator. Their breakfast provided delicious pancakes made by a nifty machine, scrambled eggs, bacon, biscuits and sausage gravy, hard boiled eggs, yogurts, cereals, fruit, pastries, a selection of breads, juices, and hot morning beverages. Staff really works hard to please their guests. I thought it was a great value, very clean, and had a super location with plenty of eateries nearby. A Sonic and Subway is just behind the hotel by Home Depot on a quiet side street. Beyond those choices there are plenty of informal family restaurants really closeby that will please your tastes. The Staff even helped me find Fresno State's Farm for their seasonal summer yellow corn sale as a little side trip the next morning (3 for 99 cents for the sweetest corn ever!) The hotel is really easy to find and near the highway, (you can see the sign) but it's set back enough to not have the heavy traffic noise.
