“Big City Food, Little City Prices”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 30, 2012

We ate here the night before our rafting trip at WET (which I would give a great review to but don't see them here). I was dubious at first because the menu wasn't cheap, but then noticed that they have a four course dinner for $25, so the three grownups in attendance ordered that and the kids split one (no kids menu, but our kids are older and can be flexible.) It was great, and except for the main course, most of the courses were small enough that you weren't stuffed but sated. The flavors were really complex and well thought out and the produce and fish/meat were natural, organic and/or local. In particular, my salmon was amazing and the beets and tomatoes were out of the world..haven't tasted produce so good since my Grandma's garden when I was a kid. In addition, the service was nice and not obtrusive, they had an amazing beer list (in addition to the quite fine wine list) and we got to watch deer galivant across the road from the restaurant, which is housed in a historic 1850 something building. Worth every penny!

Delicious food, personable and fun waitress (sorry, wish I could remember her name, as she was terrific), great ambiance. Creative, varied menu with a little something for everyone. YUM. Highly recommended.

“A real find”

Excellent food, outstanding service and an old building with a romantic ambience. Made me think of being in the French countyside.
