We visited mid-week and ate an early dinner. We're so happy we didn't settle for just any place, but ran about Ballard, Solvang and Los Olivos looking for what fit our style -- OH SO HAPPY we found
the Los Olivos Cafe and Wine Merchant!
Our experience totally contradicts the poor reviews already posted.
Our waiter (Chris) was charming and friendly -- but then we like to interact with everyone and his willingness to converse was appreciated. The menu was very palatable to us. I'm a sucker for sea food so I jumped at the Sea Food Stew -- mmmmm! :) My wife enjoyed the LASAGNA!
Current medications now restrict use of alcohol -- (grumble) but I would have surely enjoyed a good wine from the fine selection available here.
Recall-- this was mid-week and early evening. I was pleasantly surprised when the pianist arrive and started playing soft dinner music! We had just been commenting that they needed a Classical Guitarist -- making mention of same to the waiter I discovered the Guitarist only plays on Tuesday evenings!
