“Great Place”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 19, 2012 via mobile

I didn't eat here, so it's four stars. Homegirl is on the edge of Chinatown. Just bought a coffee and charged my phone. Other patrons were gobbling up their food, however, which looked like real meals. Right next door was my focus really. It's Homeboy Services or something like that. Friendly young people and tour guide who shared how Father Greg and company help ex-cons, gangsters, whoever turn their lives around, get jobs, tattoo removal, etc. One of my top experiences here. Recommended.

“Home style gourmet!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 25, 2012

Try any of the "Homegirl Classics" for breakfast and you'll never stop at an IHOP again! Everything is always fresh and expertly prepared. Service is excellently professional. The place is always bustling with activity. Be sure to pick up some bread or pastries on your way out.

“Simply the best”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 29, 2012

Everyone should take the time when visiting LA to have the freshest meal around. We came here twice - Once with Melting Pot Tours and then again for Lunch on our last day in LA.
Homeboys industries is a champion cause - Buy the Book Tattoos on the Heart:- The Power of Boundless Compassion by Father G. The girls in the Cafe are wonderful - the pastries & breads very morish and the love and laughter evident.

“You could take a business client here.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 13, 2012

Of course your business client should be willing to experience an offbeat experience, away from your normal Beverly Hills glamor spots. Homegirl is a beautiful restaurant with fine art and polished decor. The food is good, and it is convenient to the Chinatown Metro station. Small parking lot in back, or on the street. Your client will be talking about it for weeks, or months, or years.

“Excellent lunch”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 20, 2012

The cafe was busy on a weekday lunch hour, but service was very good. The menu had a number of interesting sandwiches, soups and salads. Ana's salad was excellent! Desserts were also delicious.
