I have been staying at this hotel for years and it never disappoints. The staff makes this hotel! They go over and beyond to please their guests! I highly reccommend this hotel. The location can't be beat! Location, location, location! The pub in the hotel has the best burgers! Fun crowd!

I have truly had a great stay at The Orlando. Friendly staff. Great rooms and great restaurant. As a female traveling by myself a sense of security and homely feeling are on top of my list, Orlando excelled in both categories. Best of all that you have walking distance to many great places, also their are plenty of great restaurants just outside the door!

Spent 4 very restful nights at this beautiful hotel. The room was tastefully decorated and perfect for our needs. The staff was very helpful and gracious. There is an extra charge for valet, but it is well worth it when you consider the parking around this area. There are several places well within walking distance (Cedars, Mall, restaurants)and a wonderful bar/eatery attached to the lobby. I would highly recommend the Orlando.

Room Tip: We had a room away from the street with a balcony. Balconies overlook the pool, but the pool is not...

Positioned on West 3rd St right at the edge of Beverly Hills and West Hollywood, this was the perfect hotel for our Spring Break get away in Los Angeles. The service was impeccable, the room squeaky clean, the beds and pillows extremely comfortable, and it's convenient to everything.

Valet parking staff were very friendly and the location is within easy walking distance to many restaurants and stores (Polka Dots and Moon Beams across the street is a terrific vintage spot!).

I have just returned from a five night stay at The Orlando, which is one of my favorite hotels, in one of my favorite areas. I checked in on the 4th of July with my mum & 12 years old nephew & we were treated to an excellent room with a huge King bed & a pull out sofa- plenty of space for us & all our suitcases! This was a last minute booking & we got a fabulous rate of $209 (plus tax) which is great value for a top notch boutique hotel.
There are so many great things about the Orlando, but first & foremost I must say that the location could not be better. Just step out onto the street & you are within 7 minutes walking distance to the Beverly centre or a $5 cab ride to the Grove. 3rd street offers fabulous shopping, as well as popular spots like the Magnolia bakery across the road & the awesome Joans on 3rd deli one minutes walk away. There is a corner convenience store if you need a bottle of wine or a snack, as well several lovely neighbourhood restaurants, including the excellent Churchill downstairs.
The hotel itself is intimate & comfortable with well appointed modern rooms, with an up to date bathroom & shower, great storage, as well as large TV with in house movies. The Orlando has a small yet perfectly formed pool tucked away on the second floor & this is a great place to relax with a drink at the end of a long day in LA. They have recently updated the pool area with gorgeous cabanas & there are always fresh towels & a water cooler in the nearby gym.
The staff that we dealt with during our six day stay were all delightful & so helpful, not to mention friendly & entertaining. Every day & evening I stopped by the desk for a catch up & thats something that I just love about the Orlando. I have stayed here half a dozen times now over the last 12 years & I am never disappointed. Thanks for having us!

Room Tip: I like to stay in a room looking out to 3rd street & the Hollywood hills as I enjoy the outlook...

My boyfriend and I stayed at this hotel for 5 nights at the beginning of July.

Location
This hotel is in an excellent very walk-able location and near to tour bus stops. It is a 5 minute walk to the Beverly Center in one direction and 10 minute walk to the Grove in the other. There are also many bars and restaurants dotted along the way to each. Toast is excellent for breakfast and Whispers in the Grove was fabulous for dinner. The Churchill bar was great in the hotel. Pizzas were so tasty and great atmosphere in the bar and very trendy. Staff very friendly.
The hop on hop off bus tour also stops at the Beverly Centre which was very handy.

Rooms
Our room was very large and spacious with excellent air conditioning. The bed was large and the flat screen tv was huge! Our room was located on the 5th floor overlooking the pool area and was very quiet - although the air conditioning made some strange noises but nothing to keep us awake. We were also provided with cosy bath robes and slippers.
Our only complaint was the shower - it was always going from hot to cold and the switch to adjust temperature was very stiff and difficult to adjust accurately. This was a real let down.

Staff
All front of desk staff were very friendly and always greeted us when we entered the hotel after a day out. They also provided maps etc of hop on hop off tours etc. One complaint we had was the cleaning staff. We were not provided with a do not disturb sign and so we were awoken by cleaning staff on a couple of occasions. However, turn down service was nice with chocolate and weather forecast provided.

Pool
The pool is small but perfectly adequate to cool down in the evenings for an hour. It was almost always quiet and was a nice treat to have the pool to yourself.

In conclusion, we were very happy with our stay at the Orlando and would definitely consider staying here again in the future, especially if not hiring a car.

Room Tip: Request a high floor overlooking pool for quietest rooms. Rooms with balcony all appear to be on gro...

We were a bit dubious of booking this hotel after reading some mixed reviews on Trip advisor, however we ended up having one of the best stays of our trip round California here.

We asked for a quiet room on check in and were given a room on the 5th floor facing the back of the hotel. The room was really quiet, with a large comfy bed and nice modern bathroom.

The staff were great during our stay too, giving recommendations on beaches and restaurants. They also sorted a couple of towels for our day trip to the beach!

Plus 'Joan's on third' is just round the corner for breakfast! Have a look on Tripadvisor, it rocks!
