I cannot place one fault at this hotel. The room was spacious, clean and comfortable and the service excellent! The staff at the front counter were extremely helpful, especially when I came across an urgent situation... they were so helpful in fact, that they made several calls on my behalf and even let me use the internet computer in their office as the guest one was occupied!

The hotel is so centrally located, everything you need is only a short walk away. Breakfast is basic, but for me that was not a problem as long as the coffee is good... and you can have that as often and whenever you like!

If you are not looking for anything fancy but clean, comfortable and well located accommodation whilst in LA, then this place is definately the place for you!

  • Liked — Very conveniently located and excellent service.
  • Disliked — Breakfast was basic and had som noisy neighbours one evening, but thats not the hotel's fault!

This was one of the best hotels I have stayed in and the service was completely faultless, the best I have experienced and I've stayed in places all over the world! Albon, the staff member at the front desk, was so friendly and helpful and most accomodating to us; I couldnt leave without giving him a koala as a thankyou gesture. We loved it.

I called the day before we arrived originally requesting a room for 1 night, and we ended up staying five. It was in an ideal location, 5 minutes from the Walk of Fame, the Chinese Theatre and other Hollywood attractions. Their breakfasts were great, and the muffins were the best I have ever tasted, so beware if you're watching your waistline as they are delicious!

The only problem we had was with the extremely loud people staying in the room next door; not much you can do about noisy neighbours. This was a small price to pay though for our lovely stay.

The whole experience made our time in Hollywood so enjoyable, and I would recommend it to anyone planning a trip to Hollywood who wants to be in the action, and stay in a wonderfully welcoming hotel. Thanks Albon and staff, your service was exceptional.

  • Liked — The unbeatable service, clean rooms, location and the breakfast muffins!
  • Disliked — Our noisy neighbours!

We found the Hollywood Celebrity Hotel to be a good value. We found it to be safe and clean. Those expecting a quality free continental breakfast, free newspapers should look elsewhere.
However, in the words of an old hotel chain ad, if you're looking to "spend a night and not a fortune" then this hotel is for you.

Highlights:
*very polite desk service and maid service----both were helpful, enthusiastic, efficient and polite
*rooms are fairly large---our "Executive King" room had a sitting area and dinette {with fridge} as well as bathroom with adjoining "makeup" room
*rooms clean----our room was kept spotless
*television with free premium channels.
*water/plumbing worked well. Unlike some older hotels, shower/toilet worked well---good water pressure.
*location ideal--minutes from mall, metro and tourist attractions
*free internet access in the lobby is a plus
*free parking was a plus. Lot is small and typically crowded but we lucked out during our week there and found a spot every time. {in any event, should the lot be full, the staff does provide you with other parking options and reimburses you}

Lowlights:
*no paper at your doorstep in the morning
* "free continental breakfast" is an absolute joke--fatty options only---with sliced {!} muffins and croissants. On occasion there were a few bagels present but rarely any jam. We found other chains "free continental breakfasts" to be infinitely better for the health-conscious.
*stairs by lobby had a strong cat smell---I suspect someone had illicitly smuggled a feline into their room. Mercifully, our room had no such smell.
*walls of room are thin. On our first night there, my partner was awakened with the sound of a male screaming from outside. Fortunately, the noise soon ceased and did not re-occur during the rest of our stay.

To sum--while were were not "wowed" by the hotel, we might return..... if the price was right.

This hotel is absolutely the best value for the price that I have ever found. The location is absolutely perfect (especially if you find the little walkway that connects the street it is on with the Hollywood/Highland complex...a little hidden, but once found, makes an extremely short walk even shorter). The staff is excellent and always ready to help (and call someone to find an answer if they don't know it personally). The breakfast, while small as some other reviews have stated, is delicious and enough to keep you going (with all the great restaurants in LA, why would you want to stuff yourself on a huge continental breakfast anyways?) Parking can be a bit of a struggle, but at least it is free instead of $20/night like at other nearby hotels (Tip: if coming in in the middle of the day when the lot is a little less crowded, turn around and back in, makes getting out next time MUCH easier). The decor in the rooms is very cute. I can't find a single thing to complain about. Wonderful,
would recommend to almost anyone (though I'm not sure about handicap access, didn't see any ramps or level entrances anywhere). Definitely will stay here again the next time I'm lucky enough to return to LA.

I echo tiggy's review. This hotel could not have been more comfortable, convenient, and customer-service oriented. Alvin at the front desk went above and beyond the call of duty to assist us with anything we wanted or needed; i.e., boarding passes, shuttles, directions, etc.

Would definitely stop here again the next time Clay Aiken is in town and I am fortunate enough to get tickets to see him.

Thanks Alvin and Hollywood Celebrity for making our trip that much more enjoyable!!!
