Spacious room with excellent ammenities and very friendly and helpful
front desk staff. I had scheduled an antique car tour of Hollywood and the tour company flaked out. Well Meg at the front desk worked very hard to find a new and better tour! Lance at Icon luxury tours gave us a fantastic 3 hour tour in a Cadilac Escalade (4 in our party). [----] Very highly recommended. The staff worked out everything. All the water, soda, and snacks were included! No honor bar ripoffs here. Of course the Sunday brunch at the magic castle with the kids (age 20, 18) was fabulous as well as the night dinner for my wife and me. While we were at the Magic Castle, the staff (again fantastic) transported 18 year old daughter and her boyfriend up the hill to Yamashiro for a nice dinner and then back to the hotel. The Magic Castle Hotel is fantastic and in an excellent location--walking distance to Manns theatre, the Kodak theatre, and the walk of fame on Hollywood BLVD. We scored tickets to Wicked, a wonderful experience. This hotel is a gem and we will stay there again.

Recently thoroughly enjoyed a six-night stay at the Magic Castle Hotel. I travel quite a bit and this is by far the most accommodating lodging I have ever encountered. As stated in previous reviews, it is definitely the staff that makes this place so wonderful. I was traveling with a friend, my 14-year-old niece and her 13-year-old granddaughter, for a "girls" week in LA. It started upon arrival with some sparkling lemonade, which was very welcome after a long day flying from the east coast. The girls had mentioned they were hungry and were immediately presented with some snacks, complimentary. The staff then asked about our plans and brought out the maps while we were discussing our itinerary, with helpful suggestions. The location is wonderful, close to the Kodak Theater, Hollywood & Highland Center, the Walk of Fame, with plenty of places to shop and eat. It was so enjoyable to have breakfast out by the pool, and the scones were wonderful (wish I had some right now!!). But, back to the staff, you are all fantastic. A special thanks to Daphne and Christen for the special attention to our two teenage girls. They are still talking about you two and are already planning next year's trip, so you will most likely be seeing us again next summer. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting LA.

I have plenty of fabulous things to say about the Magic Castle Hotel in Hollywood. The moment we walked in we were greeted by Shawn at the Front Desk who was very friendly and helpful. We arrived a couple hours before the typical check-in and asked if our room was available (standard queen room) but it was not, so he provided a free upgrade to a one bedroom suite! The suite was very clean and spacious, they even turn down your bed at night and leave chocolates on the pillows with the weather forecast for the next day. Megan at the front desk was also quite helpful, booking reservations at a nearby restaurant, offering us a ride to the restaurant and sending us a free appetizer! The breakfast spread is better than the continental breakfasts most large chain hotels offer, and the croissants and scones were very tasty! Location is another key point, one block from Kodak Theatre, Graumanns, and shopping at the Hollywood/Highland Centre. I would not hesitate to recommend this hotel to anyone!

The Magic Castle Hotel was all that it was built up to be on tripadvisor. Make a reservation here and enjoy your vacation.

The location in Hollywood is terrific. You can walk to the Hollywood and Highland Center, the Chinese Theatre, the Kodak Theatre, Hollywood Walk of Fame, etc. For this part of town, their price is more affordable than most and you get your money's worth in space. We reserved a one-bedroom suite and it included a living room with a pull-out sofa, a dining area, a full kitchen, patio with table and chairs, small bathroom and a separate bedroom with a king bed. One sign of their excellent customer service was that they had already placed a rollaway in the living room for my son before we arrived. The room had almost more closet space than my own house! The morning breakfast was adequate with offerings of delicious scones and assorted pastries, yogurt, fresh fruit, cereal and milk, juices and coffee. Our children enjoyed the heated swimming pool in the courtyard.

The room itself needed some updating. The telephones, furnishings (bed and dresser, sofa bed) and the bathroom were very outdated. The A/C in the bedroom also was not sufficient to cool the room. My in-laws had a studio room which was more updated than ours and they were quite pleased with my choice of hotels!

We loved this hotel and would stay here in a heartbeat if ever in LA again. Why? Because of the wonderful staff and excellent customer service! The staff were ALL very customer-friendly. "Service with a smile" must be their motto. When we checked in late on a Thursday evening, they offered us an orange soda spritzer in champagne glasses to welcome us to the Magic Castle Hotel. They gave us a menu of snacks (incl. sodas, bottled water, candy, and chips) available free any time of day (we took full advantage of these throughout our stay). They offered us popsicles as we lounged by the pool. They lent us free DVD's for viewing. They also printed out information on a world premiere happening on Hollywood Boulevard. By far, the nicest "touch" was the birthday cake and balloons they had for my mother-in-law in her room when we checked in on her birthday.

Their covered parking is very secure and we took advantage of the added bonus of entrance to the Magic Castle for Saturday brunch. That is a "must do" as well!!!

Thank you, Magic Castle Hotel and Staff, for a wonderful stay!!!

We were disappointed with this hotel after reading good reviews on this site.
We found our one bedroomed suite to be be very dark, shabby and in need of a serious update. Some changes had been made e.g. new bathroom sink but rather than replacing the bath and tiles they had just been painted over and the paint had started to flake. The carpets were very old and stained and there were also stains on some of the furniture. The TV cabinet was also old and dirty. Shutters on the windows didn't open properly and we were constantly trapping our fingers when trying to gain access to the balcony. We stayed 2 nights but our room was not serviced. Breakfasts were nice and fresh and the staff very helpful, but overall it did not meet our expectations.
