This was my second time staying at this hotel and let me just say, again this staff outdid themselves to make us feel welcome. They have the nicest people working there from the front desk to the housekeeping staff. All led by an incredible manager, Ms. Gretchen Crookes. She is amazing!!!!
I can honestly say I have never EVER been to a hotel where I experienced this sort of hospitality. I had the feeling that there is nothing I couldn't ask Gretchen or her staff and they wouldn't try their darnedest to get it for you.

The rooms and suites are gorgeously designed. It's an old building true, but beautifully renovated. The furniture has the retro look for that era and I simply adore it. I love the fact that they are the only hotel I've ever stayed at with a 24 hour pool. Throw in the delicious morning pastries and that yummy Wolfgang Puck's coffee and you're in for the hotel experience of a lifetime. Great location too. It's in walking distance or a short drive to every happening spot in Hollywood. You just have such a good feeling when you leave there.

I'm sure it's difficult to please everyone totally all the time but if they don't, it's not for lack of trying. They want your stay to be pleasant.

I plan to make this place my home away from home whenever I visit L.A. Give it a try if you're ever in town, I'm sure you will be delightfully surprised.

Thank you so much to Gretchen and the entire staff for making our stay a most incredible experience once again.

Just wanted to say what a great experience staying at the Magic Castle is. Gretchen is just the best at what she does as is the whole staff. A few of my friends stayed the weekend and we were treated like rock stars. No detail was overlooked. The croissants were so good I went back a few times for them...yummm!! If you are ever in LA and wish to know how the other half lives, book this hotel.

A big thank you to all of your staff, Gretchen, and to you..you guys know how to make a weary traveler so welcome!

Excellent Value & location for the price! We had a group of 33 people (mother-son adventure) from San Diego that were attending Sunday Brunch at the Magic Castle next door and 19 of us stayed the Saturday night at this hotel. The staff was extremely helpful & went out of their way to give us great service. None of my group had any trouble checking in & staff offered complimentary drinks (sodas & water) and DVDs upon arrival. They even brought water to our room later that evening! The rooms were spacious & clean. The kitchen in our room was dated but was very neat..It was very easy (& safe) to walk over to Hollywood Blvd to see the sights. I appreciated the underground garage parking & was pleased that I was allowed to keep my car there after even after check-out while I went over to the Hollywood & Highland complex. It was great not having to pay the H& H parking!!!!

The only drawback was the uncomfortable sleeper sofas-we actually pulled off the mattress & placed it direclty on the floor to avoid the "bar".

Overall, I would give the staff, cleaniness & location high ratings

I had the pleasure of staying at the Magic Castle on January 11, 2007. I was one of several girls that shared a two-bedroom Suite. We were in town to see Daughtry that night. The staff was very accommodating and the whole room had a very comfortable feeling. I slept on the sofa bed and it was more comfortable than any of the other hotel beds I have slept on! One of the staff persons, Gretchen, brought us snacks the next morning and also some photos of Daughtry that she had printed up especially for us. I highly recommend this hotel, and would stay there again on my next trip to Hollywood.

Our family of 3 just returned from a 5 night stay at the Magic Castle and it was fantastic. The front desk staff are all excellent. Shawn and Gretchen I remember by name but the entire staff is phenomenal and puts many 4 and 5 star properties to shame. Covered parking at $9 a night is a bargain and the staff will bring your luggage to the room. Our one bedroom suite was spotless and well maintained. A large refrigerator, microwave, utensils and stove (all of which were clean and in working order) just added to a relaxing stay.
Ate at Yamahiro's twice, great drinks, unbelievable view and shuttle service from the hotel.
No safety issues whatsoever.
Occasional glitches in internet service, but the staff was on top of the situation.
Can't say enough- value, location, parking and great staff. We will make this our LA hotel for future trips.
