We stayed at Magic Castle from 21-26th December. First of all, I must say that the hotel was really conveniently located to most of all the attractions. Barely 1 block from Hollywood Boulevard, 5 minutes drive from Universal Studio, 15-20 min drive to downtown and close to Getty Center. Since it was our first time in LA, and I'm usually not too good with car rides, it was really great that everything was close in proximity.

The hotel room was alright. It was clean, but the house cleaning wasn't too thorough. Shampoo supplies were never replenished during the 5 night stay we were there. Cups that we used to make hot drinks were never washed. The room wasn't the newest, but it was clean. Not that big, but considering the terrific location, it was great.

If you are planning on staying at the Magic Castle, I would strongly recommend spending an additional $20 for a one bedroom apartment. I caught a glimpse of the apartment from time to time, and it seemed so much newer and spacious, and more inviting. We were trying to save some money, but kinda wished we had spent that additional $20/night.

Apart from that, hotel staff were really friendly and helpful. Continental Breakfast (Croissants, muffins, scones, toast from a local bakery) is actually self service, available in the small lobby. I love the croissants, but they seem to run out pretty early in the morning.

But all in all, it was a great stay. I would stay there again, for the excellent location, but would definitely fork out the extra money to get a one bedroom apartment.

When I made reservations for The Magic Castle, one main item on my mind was making sure my 18 month old son was comfortable. I was quickly put at ease by the charmingly wonderful staff at The Magic Castle. They made sure I had a portable crib and other necessary items for traveling with a small child. And when we arrived at the hotel, we were surprised with the most thoughtful idea imaginable - Richard, the reservations specialist, went shopping for baby food and stocked our kitchen full of jars!!!! Now...what other hotel would go to such great lengths to make their guests feel special! THANK YOU TO THE ENTIRE STAFF FOR A MEMORABLE AND SPECIAL VACATION!

Had a lovely time at the Magic Castle...very large room. The staff were courteous and friendly and anticipated our every need. We will stay again!

I cannot think of a place where I would rather stay while in LA. I felt like I owned a little apartment rather than rented a room. The property was well cared for, the "apartment" was newly redecorated and had more ammenties than my own home. The staff was on duty 24/7 and we felt that they truly wanted to add to the positive experience of our stay in any way they could while being pleasant and not intruding on our privacy. I could go on and on but need only say "WELL DONE"
