“Best team of staff I've come across!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 28, 2013

By far the best staff I've ever stayed with! From our first walk in the door to our exit, they have all been absolutely amazing and will go above and beyond in an attempt to help out the visitors! Greeted by two of the best, they gave us maps and had on a bus to disneyland first thing the next morning! The room we had was a spacious apartment, having stayed in all sorts this vacation, this one is big, with a useful lounge room and kitchen even if it was just the two of us! The snacks and breakfast that are included are such a great addition!! Considering we chose this hotel for the entry to the Magic Castle Club, we were extremely surprised and happy with absolutely everything! Location to Hollywood Boulevard was perfect, not too close and not far at all!
Expect about a $10-16 cab ride to Warner Brothers Studios and Universal Studios

From the moment we arrived at the Magic Castle Hotel we were treated like it was our own home. We were greater with a refreshing homemade lemonade by the pool while our bags were taken to the room. The General Manager then delivered fresh Danish Pastries to our room as he knew we had been on an early morning flight. Every staff member was wonderful. The complimentary snacks DVDs and soft drinks were a hit with the children. The heated 24 hour pool great. Best service from any hotel on our 5 week US holiday. Will return and highly recommend.

The staff at the Magic Castle Hotel could not have been more accommodating of us! We arrived from Australia early in the morning to find our room was ready for us!!! Not only that but also a note wishing us all the best for our honeymoon, signed by the staff, along with some complimentary wine!

Any time we needed advice or assistance the staff were always friendly and made sure we knew exactly where we had to go!

I couldn't believe how close this hotel was to Hollywood Boulevard! It's literally a blocks' walk and you're there, 5 mins tops! It's just behind Madam Tuessauds!

We would definitely be staying here on our next trip to LA!

Room Tip: I found some people used the pool late at night, if there's an option to not face the pool it wo...

It's worth keeping in mind that this is a three star hotel and I don't think they claim to be anything else. That said, and with only one or two reservations, it probably deserves its position in the TA rankings.

First, my reservations. I selected a single room, but the room turned out to be smaller than I expected. There is really no convenient spot to set up ones suitcase (I used the wardrobe) but otherwise, the room was fine. Secondly, and it's my own fault for being old (well, elderly), there are the stairs. Thankfully, my driver helped cart the bags up the stairs at the entrance, and the hotel provided assistance to get it all up to my room. However, I don't believe the hotel could do much to overcome these reservations.

Allowing for that, my stay was excellent. The bed was comfortable, if a bit soft for my liking, the rooms clean but showing their age a bit, and a good sized bathroom. Breakfast was adequate and could be taken back to the room or eaten by the pool. The location of my room on the second floor at the back of the hotel would have made the first option impractical for me, and the second is great as long as the weather is clement. I didn't use their free snack service (the range is excellent) or the free movies. I did take advantage of their ability to get a booking for the Magic Club next door and that was a great, if slightly expensive night. Staff were pleasant and extremely helpful at all times.

Would I stay here again? Possibly, but at my time of life I enjoy a little luxury and that would be taken into account. For younger people and families, I don't think you can beat the Magic Castle Hotel.

Room Tip: Don't pick a single room. Rooms at the back of the hotel will be quieter.

Great Location...just 5 mins walking from Hollywood and the Starline Tour Company. A must see is the Magic Show at the Hotel's restaurant.......Book early and its formal wear.

The Kids loved this Hotel all the 'free' snacks". Staff are very pleasant and willing to assist . Gabby, Nick ,Marcus (he never sleeps) and the Breakfast dude... They make your stay comfortable with seamless effort......Amazing............ Will definitely stay here again.

Room Tip: The Suites are very spacious with a large Kitchen and Two flat screen Tvs.

Agree with everyone's comments. It's a lovely hotel and attention to detail by staff is first class. After a delayed flight we arrived later than planned - tired and thirsty. On check in we were given a cold glass of sparkling wine - wonderful gesture and so appreciated. Staff are really happy and helpful. Our room though was a bit on the tired side and could have done with a refurb. But this didn't matter as it was spotlessly clean and bed so comfy. Well deserved rating to be the best hotel in LA!
