I just came back from the trip in California and stayed in Magic Castel,stuff are very friendly,change room upon request because the first one we got was super noisy overlooking the main str.Make sure you would not get that room.The other room was facing the Magic Castle club and had huge A/C going on so it was not very quiet either but at least it was not the huge traffic as the first room.Also this room had another door that would go into another probably 2 bedroom apt. and we could hear ppl talking any time they were at the living room.Our room (#305) need to be updated and they need to change toilet seat plus every door are very squeeky.Specialy our apt.next door.Breakfest was very good addition but one thing I have to say that they charge 10 $ per day for parking which we didn't know about and traveling from Florida half day(my fault that I sign paper when we arrived but beeing tired didn't read the whole page so it would be nice to mention those 70 $ for week for parking,don't you?Not to find out when you come back home there is extra charge.
Go see Griffin Observatory(great view on whole LA,great show about planets ,earth),Getty museum-also nice view on Beverly Hills and downtown behind,Santa Barbara-the best city,clean,friendly ppl,beautiful,Solvang-dutch looking city 3,5 hours away from L.A,Farmers market-nice shopping,good dinning (just careful about parking charges),downtown L.A,Beverly Hills hotel ,maybe you will be lucky to see one of the hottest celebrities .(we saw Mariah Carey) and definately UCLA that is amazing (almost felt like in one of the Harry Potter movies).

Having had the Magic Castle hotel recommended on trip advisor, I decided to book the hotel for 2 nights as part of our honeymoon to california.

I booked directly through the website, and made the comment that it was our honeymoon stay (as I did with all the hotels - just in case!). When we arrived the bed had rose petals and there was complementary red wine & a conrats card from the hotel which I thought was very nice touch!

The hotel its self is in a great location for discovering Hollywood & LA - if you really need to! We were very dissapointed with LA (in comparision with the other places on our trip, San Fran, San Diego etc), Hollywood was the wiredest mixture of freaks and disposible camera wielding tourists i have ever seen. However I am glad we did it as we seen all the sights form the movies etc. and was nice to have 'ticked the box'!

The breakfast in the moring was more than adequate and the free drinks/snacks from reception were another unique plus point. Along with free wireless access & friendliness of the staff we were more than happy with our choice, and if this hotel was in a different city - we would definitley be back!!

This venue is a gem. I have stayed in Hotels around the world and have never been so pleased. The staff truley go beyond your expectations to make just about anything happen you request. The building itself is refurbished but with the finest quality of convienience. The pool is maintianed and breakfest is in. Rediculously close to the transport system to take you to Universal studios. A suite sleep 6 and is very family freindly. Grammans theatre is outside the door practically and the walk of fame. Hop on Hop off bus one block away. Freindliness of the staff is amazing and they just make you feel like you've been there forever. Good location and value for your money. When I return to LA this will be my hotel of choice.

I was so grateful for the suggestion at Trip Advisor that this was a number one choice for LA. They treated us as if we were in a first class hotel. The room was huge and pleasant with kitchen. The breakfast by the pool was really a delight. Wi-Fi easy! Location is central near Hollywood Blvd. for the Chinese theater, Kodak theater. They drove us to the restaurant at the top of the hill and picked us up after dinner!
