We stayed here for an overnight layover at LAX. Booked through Hotwire at about $85 including taxes, so no complaints about price! Although we arrived late at night, the hotel was fairly active with people checking in and out. Check in was fast. They had a small snack shop, typical hotel prices, but at least it was open at that time of night. Decent room, nothing fancy, but clean. Had the usual comfortable Hilton bed, and our room was quiet. We used their free shuttle which operated every 10 to 15 minutes to and from the airport. Good for our short stay.

Stayed here on a layover, Hotel gym is descent is the only good thing.
Besides that the location isnt in a good area. There is nothing around for food or entertnainment. You are limited to room service or hotel reastraunts here. I would also avoid going outside the hotel at night if you are walking.

The room is updated if you exclude the bathroom which is in the 70's decor and fixtures. Mine wasn't very clean either.

The Housekeeping service is dismal. I wanted to get my room cleaned by noon so I could sleep at the normal time with means in the afternoon. I called houskeeping at 8 and put in a request to have it cleaned by noon. At 10 :30 nothing so I called again and was told no problem. At 11 I found the housekeeper across the hall, So i told here and she took a break from talking on here cell phone to acknowledge my request. By 11:45 she was still in the same room talking on the cell phone. I finally gave up.

Had a one night stay. Nice lobby, rest of the hotel very corporate and dowdy. Good sized room, big comfortable bed. Clean and tidy. Buffet breakfast good although typically pricey. Nothing outside of hotel of interest, shuttle every 10 to 15 minutes to all terminals. Good for a night's stay, wouldn't want to stay in this area any longer.

We stayed at this hotel one night prior to a cruise and one night following the cruise.

First, the positive side: the guest rooms and baths are spacious and clean. The windows are large, and offer a good view from some rooms. The TV reception was excellent. The public areas are upscale and nicely decorated. The free shuttle to/from the nearby LAX airport is handy, and runs on a frequent schedule, but it's only fair to tip the driver for moving heavy luggage.

Now the negative points: jet takeoff and landing noise from the nearby airport continues all night long, and intrudes into the room. While internet access may be free in the rooms or public areas for your laptop (I don't know), there is a heavy charge for use of the hotel business center computers. The three restaurants, including the Bistro sandwich shop, are very expensive. The elevators, while attractive in appearance, seem to operate with excessive noise and vibration. The guest room alarm clock is wonderously complex and counter-intuitive, confounding any attempt to reset it. Ours went off at 4:13 a.m., courtesy of a previous guest. We finally gave up on the clock and used the automated wake-up system.

Bottom line, I will not again pay $239 per night to lie awake while listening to jet noise. We won't be back.
