We stayed here for one night before flying back to Dublin. We drove from San Diego to LA and arrived approx 1pm. The first major problem was the lack of signs showing us where to leave our rental car. We ended up lifting a chain to a space marked Hertz and dumped it there. After queing for over 15-20 minutes at the Hertz desk we were told we were late returning the car...........hmm maybe thats because you left us standing here for the last 20 minutes and now we are 15 minutes late returning the car, anyway after explaining the situation the Hertz rep said it was ok and would ignore the charge and said where we parked the car was fine.....ok then! The queue for check in was approx 10 minutes and eventually we got to our room. The room was what you would expect from an airport hotel, compact but comfortable. The only thing about this hotel is, when you are there, you are there, there is nothing else around, no shops, restaurant etc hence the reason they can overcharge you in there coffee shop and restaurant. The pool area is actually really nice, the noise of aeroplanes taking off and landing did not bother me and it was nice to squeeze in one last bit of sunshine. There are also 4 lovely hot tubs to relax in. The food in the restaurant was quite nice and we also had some drinks in the sports bar. The lobby of this hotel is constantly buzzing and I liked the busy atmosphere. The free shuttle to the airport was also appreciated even if it was a squeeze. Overall its an airport hotel and the pool is an added bonus 7/10
