Liked many other contributors we stayed here at the end of an LA trip prior to an early flight home. We arrived about 7pm exhausted after a long day of "tourist activities". The lobby size and check-in desk was somewhat overwhelming with alot of people (we usually stay at smaller boutique hotels). I was glad we had reserved a tower lounge room and it was great going up the 16th floor to the lounge check-in where there was no one else. Our room was perfect - large, nice furniture, very clean and a great view. The only disappointments were the small "70's" bathroom and the older-style TV. The tower lounge was great - very personalized, quiet, great view, good food and drinks. It is definitely worth the additional cost. We had dinner at the hotel and the food was pretty good, but the service was rether inconsistant and slow (perhaps because is was later in the evening). The shuttle to and from the airport worked out well.

All in all it was a real enjoyable stay for a short time. The hotel had a great buzz.- everyone seemed to be having a good time.

We stayed here for one night as we had an early flight out the next morning to New York. We booked it on wotif for about $126 US I think.

They let us check in at 9am in the morning, which was a great help. The rooms were clean and tidy. Staff were helpful in giving us advice on how to get to Santa Monica by bus.

We didn't eat in any of the restaurants, but there is a Denny's about a 5 minute walk away for an authentic American meal!

The shuttle bus was a good service, and got us to the airport with plenty of time.

Overall, a pretty good hotel for the money and location to the airport. And yes, you can hear the planes!

My boyfriend and I stayed in a standard room for one night on September 23, 2008 and paid 106£ via hotels.com.

The hotel was definitely not worth the money. When we arrived around 8-9pm in the evening there was a long queue for check in although only 2 desks out of many more were open for check in. The furniture in the rooms was old and generally the rooms looked old and worn out. They were clean though.
All in all, though I do not have any major complaints, it was definitely not worth the money we paid.

We booked a great deal directly with the hotel to stay at the Hilton for 1 night before flying on to Vegas to get married.

We normally stay at 5 star properties but were more than happy with the Hilton for a one night stay.

The check in was quick but this might change based on when you turn up as there appeared to be some tour groups arriving just after we checked in.

The room itself was a little tired decor wise but perfectly spacious, clean and the bed was superbly comfortable. I slept very well until 4am (jet lag!) The view from the room was great, I loved watching the planes land and take off.

We ate in the 24 hour bar in the evening. A word of warning if you order nachos the portions are big enough for 2. The staff were friendly and if you like sports then they have TVs at the bar.

We had access to the executive lounge for breakfast which was well presented and plentiful in supply. The decor was nice, this part must have been recently renovated.

In summary would we stay here again, yes at the rate of $89 per night it was unbeatable.
