“OK but not the best of LAX hotels”

This Hilton is generally what the majority of LAX hotels are like - OK for a short stay. We had a 5 hour lay over after arriving from Sydney (13hour flight) and before a late afternoon flight to Alaska. I didnt get the best sleep and this was mainly due to 3 things 1) the rooms were not the best I have experienced for sound proofing from aircraft noise 2) the noise from people in the corridors - I don't know if the rooms have paper thin walls but the sounds of people walking and talking up and down the corridors was louder than a normal hotel 3) the sun hitting the big glass windows meant the sounds of the glass expanding and contracting were distracting constantly making cracking noises. The bed was extremely comfortable and bathroom adequate for a shower etc. Its a massive hotel and the checkin queue was long. The cafe / eatery was average but they did also have a restaraunt. Overall I wouldnt not stay here if I had to but it wouldnt be my first choice.

This hotel delivered excellent service, though I thought the bathroom was in need of an upgrade and the room service menu was way over-priced. The continental breakfast was good quality and had a nice variety of foods. The gym equipment was much better than most hotels, and the pool, while small, still seemed nice.

Compared to other large Hilton Hotels, I'd say this one is the middle of the pack. To start, parking is far, far underground. I found that I had to go the sixth of six floors down each time to find a place to park, and on a Saturday night, had to "illegally" park in unmarked area because all the spaces had been taken. And I paid $25+ for the privilege! I had to move rooms once because I could not get a reliable wifi signal. I stayed in what appeared to be a recently remodeled room and it was in very good shape; the bed slept well, but the bathroom was pretty cramped. I had a little problem getting the room to a nice cool sleeping temp (if 72 degrees and above are OK with you, you'll be fine), but that's probably minor. The hotel restaurant was quite pricey. The hotel's close location to the airport is the principal draw. Otherwise, its just another big city Hilton property.

Room Tip: If it's wifi that you need, it appears that the strongest signals are near the elevators; avoid...

The hotel was perfect for a night before a early morning flight the next day. The managers cocktail hour had a nice choice of food and it was relaxing to watch the planes from the windows. The choice of restaurants was good. The hotel is clean and the staff is very friendly. There is a shuttle to the airport which is always a plus. I would highly recommend this hotel.

I stay here for business frequently one night at a time on the night before I fly out of LAX and it is very convenient.

They have a Hertz rental car return right in the hotel as you simply drop your car down on parking deck 6 in the Hertz designated spots and you then take your keys upstairs to the left of the check in desk to the Hertz counter. If no Hertz people there simply drop your keys in the drop box and you get a receipt emailed to you if you have that set up or you simply go out to Hertz.com and print a receipt. As my company uses Hertz this is very convenient for me. then in the morning you simply take the Hitlon shuttle to the airport...things couldn't be simplier!

As a Hilton Diamond member I do get free wifi and access to the lounge on the 16th floor so that is a nice perk to unwind but unless you are Gold or Diamond with Hilton you do not get this perk.

Overall the hotel is an older hotel but they are currently remodeling floor by floor and they have been doing a very nice job.

I find this hotel to be a nice choice for me for the night before I fly so I can avoid a lot of the traffic concerns with LA area and having the Hertz return right on property allows me to avoid the $25 per night parking bill too.

If you are looking for a nice hotel to stay at prior to travels out of LAX or a decent full service Hilton in the LAX area...this is a good choice.

On a 5 week trip to Europe this was the only place we booked through a travel agent. It was a top hotel at a budget price.

We stayed twice each time between two legs of a long haul flight.The first time we saw the shuttle go past the pick up point just as we passed Customs. (we were still in the terminal) WE had a bit of a panic as it was an hour before it came back. However not delivering on the "every 15~20 minutes was the only minus

We checked in the middle of the day and then near mid night. Each time the staff were friendly and helpful.

Large room, tea & coffee, Great bed. It was quiet and dark. Despite over looking the end of the runway (the end where they lined up for take off) there was no noise. With the curtains pulled there was no light in the middle of the day. It was just what you needed after 14 hours in a plane.

This was our 3rd time passing through LAX to Europe and the best hotel we have had.

We did not eat there as the food seemed pricey. Dennys was a short walk.

Very nice hotel if you want to be located near the airport. Food is typically priced for a hilton, but there is a Champs located in the marriott, which is just one building away.

The rental car offices are located on the same street if you need a car.

The hotel shuttle to the airport runs every 20 min or so.
