The Erwin is beachy, cool, and clubby. The front desk staff was pleasant, and when they found out it was our honeymoon (well, our honeymoon was ruined by United, but we were trying to salvage it) they offered us our choice of their two best remaining rooms. We chose the Sunrise, which was airy, pleasant, and had a nice balcony where we could see the ocean. The bar was upstairs, and we could hear the bass from the music, but they closed at 11pm that night, so it didn't bother us much. If you are sensitive to noise, ask to not be placed on the 6th floor. You'll be fine.
We ordered some room service which was really good. Highly recommend the fish tacos and the burger. There were also some cute refreshments in the room for purchase, as well as sunnies in case you left yours at home.
While we didn't enjoy the rooftop bar while we stayed there, I have been there before, and it is really great. The cocktails are tasty, and the view is unbeatable in Venice. Come as you are or dress up. It's chill but chic.
Also, the sheets on the bed are really soft. Like, so soft that we pulled them up to look at the tag, and we now have them on our bed at home. Yeah, maybe we're weird, but they are amazing sheets!
I look forward to my next stay at this quirky, boutique hotel. Just keep in mind, Venice is a bit grungy in places. If you're looking for fancy, try driving north a bit. :)
