Excellent hotel and location. Check in was a breeze, lots of parking near to your room, free wireless and free shuttle to universal. Room slightly small but very well sound proofed, no traffic noise here. Their big weakness is a $15 per night parking fee for residents they need to come up with a way to erode that fee, it almost stopped us booking, however I am so glad it didn't.

My husband and I stayed here under the recommendation of his parents, and we are glad we did! It is a very nice hotel. The front desk staff are very helpful, seemed sincere in their hope that we enjoyed our stay and made us feel welcome immediately. We requested a room on the upper level with a view of the mountains and we got it. Yes, the 101 Freeway is right there and yes, it produces quite a bit of noise, so if that bothers you, request a room away from that-however that is not the fault of the hotel nor did it bother us. The restaurant on-site is called Tula's and they have delicious breakfasts though it is a bit overpriced. This hotel is very close to Universal Studios (to which they provide free shuttle service) and the Hollywood Walk of Fame, plus it's easy accessibility to the 101 made traveling to and from the hotel a snap. The price is what you'd expect from a Holiday Inn. All in all, a great hotel with an extremely pleasant staff in a good location.

I have stayed in a lot of hotels in the US and when you are travelling by yourself you sure find out exactly what they are like. I wrote to this hotel before I went to ask if it was safe for a single woman traveller – had a really friendly helpful reply and that set the scene. The room was very comfortable with an excellent bed and very quiet despite being by the freeway. The staff were the most friendly and helpful I have ever come across and the Bellhop anticipated when I needed help with m bags. I had a fantastic two days and would highly recommend this hotel to anyone. I am sure going back there next time I’m in LA. Loved the proximity to Universal Studios and the free shuttles. Nice pool. Only little problem was that the gift shop seemed to be closed a lot. This has become my favourite US hotel!

My family stayed here and found it to be in the perfect location. We flew into LAX and it was a 25 min. drive. We were 3 minutes from Universal Studios, 15 minutes from the beautiful Santa Monica Beach, and 15 minutes from Hollywood Blvd. Walk of Fame. It was clean and the staff were great! We would defilnitely stay here again!
