Great location for Universal, easy to find, reasonable price for Kids Suites which - as they say on their website - are actually standard twin queen rooms with one of the beds replaced with screened of twin bunk area. Worked well and cheaper than 'proper' suites. Free wi-fi but charge for parking.
Great breakfasts at reasonable prices.
Pool was warm even if the weather wasn't - nice little sauna.
Excellent tennis courts.
Second time we have been - very happy and we'll go again.

A very convenient,easy to find and,well appointed and reasonably priced hotel for a Los Angeles/ Universal Studio visit.
If arriving by car as we did it is just off Hwy 101. There is a "Vineland Avenue" exit so it is difficult to miss. They have free shuttle bus to the studios.

We stayed there for 5 nights. Nice clean rooms that look like thay have recently been renovated. Complementary Hotel shuttle to Universal. Daily Newspaper.Only downpoint is the highway behind the hotel. When booking make sure that you get a room in the Eldorado building pointing to the front. Parking fee is $11.-

We visited California to see my son, who is attending school near Hollywood. The location was great. Very conveneint access to most areas. The room itself was nice and clean. Tula's was average food, I thought the buffet breakfast was a bit high for what you got. We only ate there once. The maids are a little late in the day cleaning, they rarely got there until 3 or 4. The elevators were a little slow and parking is $11.00 a day. The grounds are lovely and they have a free airport shuttle. I would stay again.

I was nervous about staying at this hotel as I had read reviews after finding out where my hotel had been booked (won a trip to see The Police in concert so all choices were made for me).

The hotel is a bit older, but it's a good, average hotel. The on-site restaurant had wonderful food even though it was fairly quiet there. The on-site bar was also fun (we'd been drinking and didn't know where to catch a cab to go to so just stayed there). The employees at both the restaurant and club were very friendly and helpful.

If I had o go to that area again, I would definitely keep this hotel in mind.

My only complaint, paying for parking which isn't noted on the website anywhere.
