Booked through priceline for $85/night. Rooms are large and very clean. Beds are fantastic! Free shuttle to and from airport is convenient. This hotel is one of the closest to airport terminals, so not ideal if our planning on staying in LA for a while, but for a good nights sleep after a long flight this is a great choice.

I booked 3 nights through Hotwire for my husband and me and wound up with a non-smoking king room on the top floor directly across from the Sheraton Club Lounge (temporarily located in the Presidential Suite). Our room was $51 per night (plus tax) and allowed us access to the continental breakfast and lunch buffet in the lounge, even though we are not club members. Free internet use in the lounge. Also free newspaper delivered outside our door. The top floor was accessible on the elevator with a special room key. Check-in service and concierge assistance were both top-notch. Room was kept clean and bed was comfy. We could see LAX runways from our room, but noise (either external or from within the building) was never a problem. We dined at Shula's twice. Excellent food and service, albeit pricey. Hotel shuttle service was prompt and always reliable. Our experience exceeded our expectations, especially considering what we paid.

From the very courteous valet attendants to the complimentary Sunday newspaper at my doorstep, my stay was perfect. The room decor was very nice, the beds were extremely comfortable, with minimal noise from airlplanes overhead. The rates were just right. Especially for the weekend. I'll definitely make Sheraton Gateway my first choice when I visit Los Angeles again.

Positive Remarks

1 Stayed at the Sheraton one night in July, great that its only 10 minutes
from the airport on the shuttle bus.

2 The rooms were clean and we got a very comfortable super king bed.


Negative Remarks

1 We didn't hear much plane noise, however we could hear the people next door and their tv. We were exhausted after our 10.5 hour flight so would have expected better sound proofing from this highly rated hotel.

2 The bathroom's toilet roll holder was coming off the wall.

3 Shular 357 is over priced - $10 for a bottle of sparkling mineral water!

4 Receptionist not very friendly/helpful as she insisted on taking my hotel voucher and only after my insistence would she give me a photo copy.
