I stayed at this hotel the night before an early flight to Hawaii. I was given a great rate which included valet parking for the week I was in Hawaii. It was very convenient to be able to stay in a fabulous room and take the hotel shuttle to the airport the next morning. The bed was the best hotel bed I’ve ever slept in and the rooms are very comfortable and furnished quite tastefully. I have no hesitation recommending this hotel!

Stayed here for one night April 15 as I missed my flight to Honolulu due to my procrastination and traffic on the freeway. Hotel was recommended by the airline. This hotel is one the best hotels I have stayed at. Rooms are big, clean and quiet. The staff were very friendly and accomodating. The shuttle to the terminals runs every 15 minutes and the drivers are equally professional and efficient. I definitely would recommend this hotel to anyone.

I got a good deal for this 4-star hotel on Priceline, and was excited to see what a 4-star is all about. (I'm generally a budget traveller.) I checked in and found the room quite nice, the bed comfy. The bathroom was clean but the tub drained very slowly. Very good soundproofing: no airplane noise at all!

Next morning it was almost time for my friend to pick me up, so I packed my things and used the TV check-out system, then sat and waited for her. I sat for an hour and a half, figuring she was stuck in traffic, before I went to the lobby to use the payphone to call her. (Using the TV check-out disallows using the room phones, etc.) Turns out she had been right on time. She asked for my room in the lobby, but the lobby staff, seeing that I had apparently "checked out" using the TV screen, told her that there was no way I could possibly be in my room. They didn't try to call up or make an attempt to check if I were there. A bit more creative thinking on their part - the TV check-out system is the hotel's idea, after all - would have saved us both a lot of aggravation.

All in all, a good night's sleep at a reasonable price - but I'm not sure I get what all the fuss is about a 4-star hotel.

Wow. What a surprise to find such a nice hotel at LAX - and a real bargain to boot. I paid $99 for a terrific room (my corporate rate plus Starwood preferred guest), which had obviously been renovated recently. What a great job they did! Really beautiful, rich colors, even the carpeting was cool. The bathroom was quite clean and simple, nothing fancy.

The front desk staff was very friendly and helpful, as were the concierge, the valet parking guys and the waiters at breakfast downstairs. This place is truly a winner - will definitely stay here next time I am in LA, as it is very convenient to Santa Monica and the marina, yet a lot less expensive.

It is a nicer hotel than some of the Westins I have stayed at.
