Stayed at this hotel because of conference at same. Room was small but very clean and comfortable. Bed and bedding were very comfortable. Room was not noisy during four day stay. Restaurants were very expensive. The economy motel/hotel several streets over offered free wireless internet service. This place charged ten dollars a day for high speed internet in your room. Staff did not know where various conference rooms were. They had no map to show location of conference rooms. Glad when time came to return home.

My wife and I stayed one night at the Marriott as we werepassing through the airport. The hotel looks okay, but it is not what you come to expect form a Marriott. But considering the price we got, we had no complaints.
When we checked into our room, we discovered that we had been given a room with two double beds instead of a Queen. When we returned to change our room, we were told there were no more rooms with King or Queen. Considering it was 1AM, we simply took the room. The staff was not helpfful or accomodating whatsoever. They did not offer any solution or compromise for the problem.
Once in the room, we had no problems. The beds were nice and the bathroom was pretty clean.
Overall this was an average hotel.

I stayed at the Marriott LAX for one night on 9th January 2007 after a long eleven and a half hour flight from London UK. I had read the adverse reports and wondered if I had chosen well. I used the free shuttle from LAX and was well received by the check in desk staff. I found my own way to the room (as I prefer) and was greeted by a beautifully refurbished room with oceans of pillows and a cosy decor. It was spotless. I agree with earlier posts that the bathroom was small, but it was clean and the hot bath soothed me after the long haul flight. I dined in the Latitude 33 restaurant and it was a pleasure. The service was excellent as was the food. After a good night's rest I was speedily shuttled to LAX for my flight to Hawaii the next morning. Maybe I was lucky but I thought it was truly excellent and would definitely stay there again. I had paid £38 (about $73) for the room only online and was well pleased with the package.

Unfortunately this review ain't going to get me too many "was this review helpful" clicks because I'm going to briefly reiterate what others have said.

It's obviously a perfect location if your travel involves arriving at or from LAX. I make it a habit to stay at airport hotels when I'm flying east and have an early morning flight. Quite convenient ditching the rental car the night before and then hopping on the hotel shuttle bus.

From check-in to check-out this hotel was a delight. I was a solo dad traveling with a tired, cranky 4-year-old and they got us in and out perfectly. The pool at this hotel is great and for those of you who specifically seek out airport hotels to watch planes this place is amazing if you ask for an airport runway view and there are many. As for those of you don't don't like airport hotels because of the noise this place should not be an issue. I didn't notice any plane sound.

Rooms were newly renovated, there's a Starbucks in the lobby, parking is a ripoff (but that's the case at all LAX hotels...) and the restaurant was decent for breakfast.

I've stayed at the Embassy Suites across the street, that's a good bet too if you specifically need a suite hotel.

The LAX Marriott is one of my personal favorites because of the runway views but that's just me
