“Just what I expected”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 14, 2013

The food, accommodations and amenities were just as advertised. It's not a beautiful hotel -- in fact, the decor is a bit dated, but it's clean, comfortable and very convenient to LAX. The staff (concierge, front desk and bell caps) were exceptionally friendly and helpful. If you want to see more of LA (Beverly Hills, Hollywood, etc.), it's not the best location. But, there are city buses (a bargain for $1) and a beach shuttle ($5 roundtrip) which goes to Santa Monica. The salon is a bit pricey but the pedicure was terrific. I love my new blue toenails! They're in the process of renovating their exercise area. There's a cramped area in the hotel with treadmills & bikes but the Marriott will give you a pass for the full gym across the street.

Room Tip: Ask for a room on the lower four floors overlooking the pool.

Thanks for staying with us! Be sure to ask the concierge next time you're here about easy transportation options to check out the South Bay beaches as well as Beverly Hills, Hollywood, and Santa Monica. We think you'll really appreciate our central location once you see all that L.A. has to offer. We hope to see you again!

I had a balcony room. Huge.. Great place to watch the Sunset over LA.. The pool area is really nice especially at Night. Sadly some goof put shampoo in the hot tub so it had to be shut down. The Stuff was over friendly (If there is such a thing) and helpful. It was a long walk to my room however, but the atmosphere in the hotel made the walk bearable. Price is right too!! A win! win!

Room Tip: Ask for a balcony room!!

We're so glad you enjoyed your stay! We're sorry about the goof with the shampoo - some folks never grow up (or at least never mature)! We hope to see you again!

The location is good. Aminities are good. Rooms are nice. Concierge is very good. The only let down is the open car park and no covered access to it. Wish they would do something about it. Otherwise a seriously good hotel. One of the best in the neighborhood.

This hotel was like an oasis for a travel weary couple. The room was quiet, the bed comfortable and inviting and the linens were high-end. The included breakfast buffet was fantastic! Made-to-order omelets, fresh fruit (not the standard melon selection, but fresh berries!!!) Even a selection of farmer's market type jams and jellies (seasonal offerings) were available. This will be our go-to destination for any trips through LA from now on - great location, great rooms, great service, great food. Perfect.

Nice hotel and polite staff - my problem with them and most marriotts is that they never read my profile as a Marriott Platinum member and i never get any of the items in my profile and this happened once again. I heard so many bad things about shuttle i kept a car an extra day and took the rental car shuttle back to the airport - blaming the city service does not cut it for an airport hotel

Room Tip: Corner room

Arrived LAX at 6pm after an overnight flight from Tokyo Haneda Airport. Hailed the courtesy bus over to the Los Angeles Airport Marriott and arranged check-in on a walk up basis. The hotel was bustling and the reception representatives processed all guests very pleasantly and efficiently.
We were assigned a room on the 3rd floor and advised we would have a balcony and pool view. It was quite a trek to the room and now being familiar with the lay out I would request something closer to the elevators for the next visit. Since this stay was not pre-planned it was fine.
The hotel is not new but the room was very clean and every thing was in working order. The bed linens looked rather new and the bathroom was fully stocked with plenty of towels, not the usual one set to a guest.
As a gold member we had access to the concierge lounge on the 16th floor. They had a nice assortment of veggies, cheese, dips, bread sticks and two hot items. Later in the evening various sweet offerings of cookies and cheese cake were served. Alcoholic beverages were available for purchase and a selection of hot and cold drinks were complimentary.
The breakfast was one of the nicest we have had in a U.S. Marriott lounge. The scrambled eggs and other hot and cold items were all delicious. There was a varied selection of breakfast choices to please everyone. The staff was efficient and friendly.
We had a good night's rest, just the right amout of food and felt reenergized.
Just how you want an overnight airport stay -- no hassle!!

Room Tip: Request a high floor and you can watch planes take off and land.

This hotel was gorgeous--I cannot think of anything bad to say about it. Every aspect was positive. It's extremely close to the airport, yet close enough to walk to a few restaurants. The area was very safe, we walked to Denny's at night and felt completely comfortable. The interior lobby was very modern and spacious, with 2 restaurants and conveniently, a Starbucks. The best part of the hotel was the outdoor pool area, it was stunning! Our room faced right onto the pool and it felt like we were at a resort. At night you can see all the rooms facing onto the courtyard lit up and it is just beautiful. Everything was very clean and the staff was so friendly. We never encountered any problems whatsoever, this hotel is perfect for any trip to Los Angeles and it was very affordable. I would 100% recommend!

Room Tip: Get a room with screen doors going out to the pool
