Great 24 Hours Free Shuttle Service to Airport-Fast pick up & delivery. Wonderful older Hotel but close to Airport. Denny's on site and attached to Hotel...clean quiet room, pretty grounds and pool...very helpful staff....a joy to spend the transitional night at.
Free Shuttle in evening to a list of restaurants. Not a walking area but felt very safe.

Stayed one night after a long flight from the UK.

The shuttle collected us from airport with no difficulty (there was only two of us) and check in went smoothly.

The room was a good size and clean. There was a notice about ants and we did see a couple in the shower but other than that the room was fine.

We did have to climb stairs to get to our room so ask for a ground floor room if this is a problem.

The pool looked nice although we didnt use it, the grounds were very tropical. The area the hotel was in was'nt the most up market.

Breakfast, a bit chaotic and very basic. There is a Dennys next door but we stuck with the free breakfast!

The shuttle also dropped us at our car rental place in the morning which was helpful.

I searched a number of sites for a convenient and moderately priced hotel close to LAX. We were delighted with our stay. Travellodge LAX is in the shadow of the Hilton and the other large chains on the same street. Yes, it is a bit noisy, but what do you expect near a busy airport on a busy street. We called from the airport and a van was there in ten minutes for pick-up. Our room was spacious and clean. The staff was very courteous and there were a number of grounds keepers wiping the pool chairs, trimming bushes and doing touch-up painting. The continental breakfast was cereal, bagels, danish, toast, hard boiled eggs, juice, coffee and tea. There were a number of outdoor tables and you could sit poolside. There was also a 24-hour Dennys which made meals convenient for a tired couple. Return to the airport was also prompt. We would definitely stay again.

Our party of 4 arrived at the hotel at 9:45 pm on Feb 26 after waiting 40 minutes for the shuttle at LAX. The hotel staff were effecient upon check-in and the lobby was attractive. However the rest of our lodging experience was unpleasant.

The hallways leading to the adjoining rooms were littered with trash (luggage tags, take-away cups, plastic wrappers) and the rooms unpleasantly lit and poorly heated. One room had not been cleaned and we were moved to a different wing from our traveling partners. Both room's heaters made a loud metal-on-metal noise when turned on and had to be turned off to allow for sleeping, resulting in a very cold room by morning. We listened to the TV in a neighboring room all night long and the noise from people pulling luggage down the hallway was very loud starting at 4:00 AM.

We had an early morning flight and used the 5:00 am shuttle which departed promptly and arrived at the terminal in a timely fashion. However, there were far more guests than the shuttle could safely accommodate forcing several guests to sit on the laps of others and some to stand in the doorway. We had heard others registering their plans to use the early shuttle with the staff and were surprised that no one had arranged to deploy the second van parked out front.
