This hotel is located perfectly in downtown Los Angeles and the price we paid via Priceline came to about $115 per night with all taxes and fees.
The standard room was fine with the Heavenly Bed, Starbucks in-room coffee maker, double shower head and nice toiletries. There's a nice selection of cable channels and one premium (Showtime, I think), and big picture windows give the room plenty of light. The small fridge was another bonus.
The hotel itself reminds me of a cruise ship. Huge lobby with restaurant and bar, water fountain features, lots of restaurants and business services including car rental, and just across the street is Koo-Koo Roo Chicken, Starbucks, La Salsa and Quiznos (closed when we were there). It is about a 10 minute walk to the Metro 7th Street Station, where you can catch the subway/lightrail to Hollywood and other locales without a car. Or walk one block and catch the DASH buses, which only cost 25 cents and run every 5-10 minutes on 5 or 6 fixed routes.
The Visitor Center is also located very close by, and the library is 5 minutes by foot and you can use free Internet for 15 minutes without having to register or anything. Walk up the steps (or if you are really tired, take the escalator) of Bunker Hill, and then find the guideposts for a walking tour of the area.
We enjoyed the hotel because of its location and comfort. We didn't use any business services, but I did see the business center and it seemed useable. The room service menu or breakfast delivery is a bit expensive. Each morning there is a breakfast buffet for something like $25. Save some money and go across the street to the Undeground Mall and you can find a McDonalds and 4 other little quick service restaurants that can get you a great morning breakfast for under $8 a person including coffee.
I've seen people get this hotel on Priceline for $75 per night (depending on the date), which would make this property very unbeatable for what you get. Even at $115 per night I give this place a 5.
