Stayed 2 nights in June. Hotel: Very good price (100 per night) for the quality of the hotel. Rooms are a good size. The view is really great. Service is good / average. The disappointment was the Heavenly Bed (way to soft, it hurts !) and the supposed restaurants and shops of the lobbys. There is barely one "Sub-way" open, which has not seen one client for a while and two gifts shops. Apart from that, do not expect a shopping center within the hotel. Neighbourhood: Empty on WE and evening. Plenty of shady people and homeless. The only great thinks is the very impressive art deco buildings and the mexican market on Sundays. But we did not go out of the hotel after dark. That hotel can be nice to explore LA downtown but wouldnoit spend entire holiday there !

Impressive service. Little things like using my name, SMILING, quick responsive service, asking for my feedback--in addition to my insanely comfortable bed and 29th floor stunning view--made for an impeccable stay. The Westin Bonaventure is at the top of my list. Many thanks!

What a disappointment!
The Westin location in San Antonio is fabulous, thus we wanted to stay at Westin while in the down town LA area.
The room was uncomfortably small and such an odd shape.
The hotel apparently attracts many non-guests.
This was very alarming in that the security was next to none.
It was a very uncomfortably feeling to know any one has access to the floors of your hotel.
Nonetheless, we thought the hotel was very un-impressive and will not stay there on our next visit to the LA.

Basically this hotel is a jainormous monstrosity. But the room was nice enough -- what you'd expect from a Westin -- and the location worked well for our purposes.
