“room great but don't expect coffee!!!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed yesterday NEW

the hotel is clean, high end, has everything you would like to make your stay comfortable...EXCEPT the room did not have a coffee maker...so morning coffee is either via room service or going down in your jammies to the coffee shop, I was totally surprised that a hotel of this caliber, quality and expense one could have a cup of coffee in the morning without much interrupt. A total disappointment.

Located in K-town, an amazing part of LA. Valet service was excellent. Pricy, but what do you expect in LA?? Check in was a breeze. Less than 3 minutes. Bellhop assisted with bags, and an amazing attitude as well. This hotel is a very trendy and chic hotel complete with bare concrete walls. Decor is just as chic. Large floor to ceiling windows with views of the Hollywood hills. Great shower and complimentary toiletries. Bed very comfy. The rooms are non traditional as the beds face the large window. Loved it!! Had power shade and black out curtains. On the weekends the lobby serves as one of LA's top lounges. I would call it a nite club, as 100's lined up outside. As a hotel guest, was greeted with a smile no matter what time of day or night. They have a little cafe in the lobby. Great coffee and expansive selection of pastries and snacks. A mini Starbucks, but better! The pool on 2nd floor roof was amazing. Pool side service. Adjacent "commissary" restaurant. Very trendy. Great eats.
I would come back without question. Other small restaurants across street. Being in the heart of K town makes going anywhere in LA fairly accessible. Subway directly across the street. Great property. Can't wait to visit again

Every bit as good as the photos and other reviews suggest. Provided you are expecting the concrete walls (they really are very concrete...) the decor is great and the finish is very good. The huge windows make for a great way to wake up. The valet service is priced as you'd expect for LA, but the service is excellent - we never waited more than a couple of minutes for our car. With a car (almost a must for LA, in our view...) the location is great - outside of rush hour it took us less than half an hour to Santa Monica beach. There are a good number of restaurants within easy walking distance around Koreatown.

I'm British and customarily non assertive, but as I'd booked a Hollywood Hills view room and the room we got was on a lower floor i called down to the front desk to ask if they had a better one. 30 mins later i got the key to the the room on the corner of the top floor -perfect! The bed was super comfy, and the decor just as pictured -modern, stark. The location was great with the metro just across the road. A block away was a terrific Korean restaurant -incredibly fresh and healthy food. Further that way and you find a fun Korean mall. The hotel restaurant didn't have a veggie option but the cafe in the lobby was useful and the lobby area was very cool. The only negatives i had were that the pool is pretty small and the wifi in the room was sporadic (in lobby was fine ). The view from the room at night was gorgeous. All the staff were very friendly and knowledgeable and willing to help.

The Hollywood Hills view rooms is smaller than the Wilshire Blvd rooms but, of course, it has better views. The "just constructed" look is nicer in pictures though than in real life.
The staff are very helpful and friendly but very talkative if you're the silent type.
Lots of great Korean restaurants nearby (hotel is located in Koreatown). There's also one at the hotel lobby but it's very, very expensive.
There's also a rent-a-car nearby.
The pool is a nice place to relax.
The wifi was not working.

This hotel has recently been revamped. It's modern, has all the amanities you want and a very friendly crew to help you make your stay more pleasant. The hallways are 'decorated' with concrete walls and popcorn ceilings. This while I recently spent a fortune removing popcorn in my own house! Did I make a wrong decision?
The rooms are very nice with a big desk with lots of ports and outlets to get your mobile office going. Unfortunately my power outlets weren't working, but I didn't bother to call the front desk. Maybe I overlooked it, but I didn't find a safety box in my room.
On the first floor there's a huge area with lots of booths to crash. There's a nice little coffee shop to get you going in the morning. During the night this area becomes a popular nightspot for the locals and tourists. There's a nice bar decorated with items that reflect the local flavors of Coreatown.

Convenient location and friendly staff aside, even at 11 floors up, the noise in this hotel was unlike anything I have ever experienced.

Wilshire is a very busy street, LOTS of sirens, shouting and screaming (especially on a weekend), the vehicle traffic, horn honking and engine roar is constant and surprisingly loud, and the interior hotel walls are paper thin. I could hear every word of normal conversation in the rooms on either side of me, at all hours of the day and night.

I would NEVER stay here again...I stay in a lot of hotels worldwide and I have never experienced anything like this.
