“Excellent Staff and Location”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 18, 2013

I stayed here during Grammy weekend. I was very impressed by this hotel. I was given a suite by the pool. The view was very nice. The valet service is not cheap, but they are fast and friendly. The hotel is right where the action is in Hollywood as far as tourists go, but of course things can get a little sketchy late at night with some of the homeless if you wander a little bit away from the property. The bed was very comfy and the lighting system that they have set up in the suite is pretty nice. It's very high-tech. The room came stocked with all the premium liquors that you can think of, but I didn't bother to drink any of them. It was a very chilly weekend in LA so I didn't hang out at the pool. However, I did go to the burger restaurant that is connected to the hotel and that was excellent! There are several bars/restaurants that are part of the hotel so it is easy to get a drink or something to eat at any time. This place is more laid back than the Standard Downtown LA that I stayed at and if it was an 80+ degree day in LA, I would love to be here hanging out.

First time in LA coming from the east coast did not find this hotel worth 400$ a night. I guess the location is what you pay for not the room. Not sure what "hollywood" expectations are.

Rooms - very bland - you don't smell the sense of cleanliness you would see in a hard rock or marriot. Need more decor, maybe thorow a couple paintings on the wall to make it look like a hotel. it looks like someones studio in la, who is a "struggling aspiring actor". Bathroom looks like a scene from a horror movie. Orange creepy light, on the east coast this hotel would not even cost $100 a night. My friends bathtub was not working and front desk girl did not offer to change her room.

Pool- best thing about the hotel, sunshine even in march. Although drinks are watered down, waitresses are nice. You will see average reality celebs lounging at the pool as well.

if you rent a car the parking is about 35 a night. Location is cool, right in front of the chinese theatre that does movie premieres. The area is full of bums at night so be careful as they attack you for money. Not far from the hollywood sign.

it's a good hotel for a center location, and possibly pool parties in the summer.

I stayed here in September 2011. After months of travel I chose this hotel to catch up with my husband and have a relaxing break by a pool for a week. The weather was hot. The hotel has a beautiful pool but we were not able to use it. There were many pool functions booked and it was impossible to get a seat by the pool. I was very disappointed and felt that people staying in the hotel should get preference over people off the street who pay to come to a pool party.
Other than that the hotel was fabulous.

I was told that the Roosevelt it's just for famous people but last night I felt like one! My friends and I went there without a reservation which was great because we didn't need one. We had dinner at Public Kitchen & Bar. Our server Sergio made us feel like stars, great personality! He was great! He recommended good dishes. Kale Salad and King Salmon was DELICIOUS!! I definitely will come back!

I really liked this place. We were pleasantly surprised with an upgrade to a Cabana Room. Very Hollywood modern yet vintage chic.
Location location location as they say. Perfect! Most pools close down at night at hotels, but this pool vibe was open and very hip. Staff was over the top fantastic.
Except one (there is always one). The doorman at the night club upstairs. I was walking by, looking through a door window,
and he gave me some heavy attitude about not being able to get in through that way. I was taken back a bit, and said- “ I didn’t want to go in”.
He was very confrontational and a bit of a jerk….(doorman stereotype) …but other than that…. I had a wonderful time. The hamburger joint (25 degrees) at the hotel is amazing!
We’ll will be back to the Roosevelt!

This classic hotel right on Hollywood Blvd has a gorgeous lobby, generous size rooms, comfy bed, extremely friendly and helpful staff, reasonable prices and perfect location. I was only there overnight but did check out the pool - I can't wait to go back for a sunny vacation day there.

Room Tip: I paid a little upgrade charge for the deluxe corner king, it faced Hollywood Blvd, 2 big windows, b...

As my family are considered standby for an airline, the trip to LA was quite a lengthy one, but upon arrival we were assisted greatly by the staff in valet who took our luggage and opened all the doors. Our room was much bigger than expected (two queens) and did not feel at all cramped in the slightest. The staff are very friendly and approachable, go above and beyond in assisting you with any questions and make you feel welcome. They didn't offer free wifi, but had two computers downstairs which had free internet access.

Rooms were immaculately clean and overlooked the Hollywood sign and the Graumanns theatre. The cleaning staff were also very friendly and we spoke about their experiences with paranormal sightings as we were situated on the ninth floor (the "haunted" floor)

The Roosevelt has an amazing old Hollywood theme and you can really feel the history. It's right in the middle of everything and we sighted multiple celebrities while staying here (Miley Cyrus, Audrina Partridge and Liam Hemsworth). It really felt like it was the place to be with many parties going on almost nightly and so many attractive people it was quite intimidating - though everyone was very friendly as they are in LA.

I feel like it's a great hotel for young people, and although its unsaid, its not really child friendly. There was no rudeness to families with children, though you could just tell that its directed at young couples, or young groups.

Room Tip: The higher the floor, the better as you have a better view of the street below and the Hollywood Sig...
