I read the reviews for this hotel and figured I'd give it a try. It is a bit old, decor-wise, but that has its own charm. The staff were friendly and very helpful (thanks so much to the maid who came running out to give us a forgotten stuffed animal). Loved the security of the gated-off parking.

And as for the location - MAGIC! Walked across the street, through the shopping place and right into a Hollywood premiere!

Only problem we had we was that our hotel room was on the ground floor at the back, and just over the wall there was construction going on. It didn't get real noisy until after 8 a.m., which was fine - it was the fact that the construction workers could peek over the wall and see right into the room! So much for privacy!

Still, a great place and I would happily stay here again (though I'd prefer a room that doesn't attract peeping toms).
