“In the middle of things, yet quiet”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed today NEW

We stayed here for 4 nights in June based on other TA reviews and we were very happy with our choice. It is only a short walk from the "chaos" of Hollywood Blvd, yet it is a nice quiet hotel which is old but well maintained. We stayed in a 2 king suite with roll-away bed which worked out fine for us. We also paid the $11/night car parking, it was great to be able to drive to other parts of LA (it really is a vast city!), and know that on return there would be no issue with parking. The small pool was clean and lovely to use for a dip after a day's sightseeing.

First off, all of the glowing reviews on here for this place are entirely accurate. I wondered a bit before booking because I just figured it couldn't be that good. The traveler photos on here are very good pictures, but I don't feel they do the place justice. We asked for no special room or favors, but were amazed at the spaciousness and layout of the room. The room had a private balcony and a complete full kitchen with such a comforting view out the window, especially in the mornings. We felt as though we were in our own Hollywood apartment. Bathroom was away from the bedroom down a short hall so one could get ready in there without disturbing others who were still sleeping.

I cannot remember the last hotel I stayed in, no matter the class, which had everything in good working order. Every feature in this hotel is so well maintained and useful: granite countertops in kitchen and bathroom, linen closet in hall, wide mirrored double closet, air conditioning with easy to use controls which can be regulated to the exact temperature desired, a safe in the room which actually is usable and works (so many times if the room even has a safe, it is no longer operable), nice sized flat screen tv, controls in bathroom for vent, heater, light, and night light and all work perfectly, even a retractable clothes line in the bathroom. There was a security bar on balcony door which was easy to remove from the inside and then put back in place when needed. Our room had two big comfortable stuffed chairs.

The staff is so friendly and accommodating. We happened to run into a couple of the staff members off the grounds and after they were off work. They still greeted us with a smile just as they did during work hours.

The hotel sits on a quiet, short street with other hotels and apartment buildings of the same genre. It really has a classic Hollywood and California look and feel to that section of the block, even though the Blvd is so close.

The only downside for me was the breakfast. The lady was every bit as charming as they say. However, the food offering isn't great. It's breakfast is about all that can be said.

The last few hotels I've stayed in have at some point along the way suggested that an online review be posted, even giving out names that should be included. I guess there's nothing wrong with that, they don't tell you how to feel or what to say, but it sort of turns me off of writing a review, even of a place that would have deserved a good one. I appreciated that no one at this hotel mentioned a thing about internet reviews. All in all, we had a great three night stay. If staying in Hollywood, I think it would be hard to find a better place than this one.

Stayed three nights at the hotel in June. Fantastic location, in the middle of Walk of Fame! But still quiet and easy access by car. Hotel has a huge parking garage under the building. Nice pool area also. Large apartment with separate living room and kitchen. The breakfast was, like almost all in US, very basic and boring. Only coffee, some fruits and muffins. So, don´t except anything for that.

But overall very clean and cozy hotel, reasonable priced and the five star location!

Old building but very well maintained and clean. Room was very spacious. When we booked the only room left had 2 single beds but when we checked in we were upgraded to a room with 2 queen beds and a kitchen! Very close to Hollywood boulevard but there was no traffic noise! Parking is secure under the building. Staff were very friendly and helpful! Breakfast was good - cereals, muffins, bagels, coffee, juice and fruit. Would definitely stay here again - you can't do better for the location and price!

We stayed with our family of four and felt we were at home, spacious rooms and very clean ! Each staff goes out of their way to help with tips and information. The star is Patricia at breakfast who will tell you it's self service but she will spoil you anyway.the location is excellent, steps away from shops, restaurants, walk of fame etc ! I highly recommend this hotel !
