Very happy with the place. Couldn't be closer to the action, literally right next door to the Kodak Theatre. Very comfortable and clean. We booked the 2 king option as were travelling with another couple. Comfortable beds. Didn't see any of the dodgyness associated with Hollywood. Found it very safe! So much to do. Secure parking.

If you want to be in the heart of Hollywood this is the place, the walls next to the hotel are the Kodak theatre so cant get much nearer, yes maybe its not up to five star standard but as said previously "you get what you pay for " if you want basic accomadation this is fine, the staff were very helpful and advised on trips etc, the underground car park is free and has a lift up to your floor, the fact that you can walk 100 yards and be in a mall with loads restaurants is great, value for money, would stay there again.

Having never been to LA before I had no idea where to start looking. There were so many mixed reviews on what part of town to stay in and everything seemed so expensive!

In the end I took a punt and booked at Orchid Suits and we were not disappointed. While the rooms are dated they are clean and comfortable and the location cannot be beat. We had a car so drove around the rest of LA but being so close to all the main parts of Hollywood was a bonus and there were heaps of shops and restaurants nearby plus all the Hollywood attractions.

It was really easy to park in the undercover carpark and we had a 1bed king room with kitchen facilities that was all clean and tidy and everything worked well.

If it is 5 star luxury you are after then you will be dissappointed by this place but if it is a clean room with lots of space and good location for a good price then this place is excellent.

Had stayed here before in Summer of '06, and returned in January for a second visit. The rooms are big, but have seen better days and a refurb is overdue. However, the location, staff and price more than make up for it! if you want to stay in Hollywood, you'd really struggle to get a better location. The hotel literally backs on to Manns Theatre on Hollywood Boulevard. We had 2 nights here, drove to Vegas, and then came back for 1 more night before flying home, so stayed in 2 different rooms. We had no problems with noise/neighbours etc. The kitchen is well equipped, and also had a dining area which was a bonus. Area feels safe; the first time we stayed we walked up to the Hollywood Bowl at night to see the LA Philharmonic Orchestra play Tchaikovsky with fireworks - amazing experience, and we don't even like classical music!!! Would recommned Mels Diner for dinner and/or breakfast - ask reception for directions!!
