“great buzzy hotel in good location”

The Sofitel at Beverly Hills is a top notch hotel. The room was very clean and bathroom facilities excellent. The staff are all very helpful and we used their advice on eating at a couple of their recommended restaurants which proved to be extremely good. One was within walking distance which is a bonus in this very sprawling city. The bar area was nice and good bar snacks also. The bar staff were chatty and helpful. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anybody. One criticism was that some of the areas in the bedroom, for instance around the surface area of the TV were quite dusty, so room for improvement there. Beautiful soft bed and duvet.

First and foremost my husband and I travel to LA at least once a year, and out of all the hotels that we have stayed in the LA area, the Sofitel was by far the best one. The staff with the exception of Matthew at the bar were simply professional, warm, inviting and helpful. Checking in was a total breeze and we were upgraded once we told them that we were there to celebrate our honeymoon. The room was sublime with its classical music playing as you walk in and great views of Beverly HIlls. After checking in we decided to walk around the premises and we found the decor to be contemporary and artsy as the hotel displays different pictures of celebrities that remind you constantly that you are in the Movie/Music capitol of the world. The staff always has a smile on their faces and greeted everyone with a French phrase, which was cool. The only one that appear to be uptight and unprofessional was Matthew at the bar. We made friends at the bar and the common theme that seemed to bring us together was how rude and unprofessional Matthew was with his diva demeanor. The bar had maybe four or five guests while we were there and he acted as if he was serving a hundred people at once. I realize that he was making drinks for the people at the restaurant but that does not give him the right to undermine the guests at the bar with his nasty attitude. I felt like telling him to stop acting as he he knew Madonna or something. We went back to the bar on our last night there and his attitude was the same, which is a shame for a hotel that offers comfort, luxury and professionalism. I do hope that management takes that time to re-train him on how to be humble and hospitable. Other than that, our stay was simply divine, and we will definitely go back and recommend this place to our family and friends. The ambience reminded us of the glamour that we know LA can provide and will continue to provide as long as the staff is consistent. Kudos to the management for running such a fine establishment.

Booked a weekend get-a-way at this hotel. Reserved a Beverly Suite for the stay. The lobby and staff were great and as expected in a property like this. I was disappointed with the room. The suite had one wall of floor to ceiling glass that was so dirty, inside and out, that it really detracted from everything else. I took photos to show how bad it was and I don't think I'm being too picky here. When you spend the kind of money they charge for this kind of room, my expectation are for perfection.

Bed was great! Bathroom was great! But waking up and having to look out through a mountain of dirt on the windows was so dissipating. You could even see hand prints from children of previous guests on the inside... I guess they don't clean them very often.

Where you are talking $700+ plus for a suite, there are so many better places in Beverly Hills, I would not stay here again.

Room Tip: Stay off the top floor because of the way the roof is designed makes the rooms smaller. There is no...

All our windows are of course cleaned each time by the housekeeping, but for the outside we need to call an external company.

Hotel is very clean and has a nice atmosphere. It is very well located - there is a CVS accross the street and also a mall with many stores in front of it.
Employees are very polite and gentle. The concierge was very kind and made a nice reservation at a great restaurant there.
It is totally worthy as it costs. I recommend it!

This was our second stay at Sofitel, L.A. This time for 3 nights as part of our honeymoon. The staff were aware that it was our honeymoon and we received a free room upgrade, with views of the Hollywood hills. When we arrived at our room, we had been provided with complementary champagne on ice, strawberries coated in chocolate and a card that had been signed by all of the reservations team. All staff were very friendly and extremely accommodating. So glad we decided to return to Sofitel, L.A. and we would recommend it to anyone...

Great room. We booked a king suite. Bed was the most comfortable we have experienced. Service faultless. Located across the road from the Beverly Centre. We were invited to an exhibition if photographs on our final night which was a great experience. Highly recommended.
