“Best place to stay near LAX”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 20, 2014

This is a hotel / B & B, and I'm glad I found it. Booked it on the Hotel Tonight app on my iPhone for a total of $200. It's a short walk from a beautiful beach, and there are a number of interesting cafes and restaurants between the Inn and the beach. You wouldn't think that there would be such a beautiful and relaxing beach right near LAX, but there is. Also, the Inn backs up to a wildlife sanctuary, which is also an oasis of beauty in LA. The room was definitely 4 stars, although the TV was fairly small, but that wasn't really an issue, because I'm not a big TV watcher. The common areas were very beautiful, and it was a joy to wake up to such a nice cafe-style breakfast in the sumptuous breakfast are. I'm attaching a couple photos. I highly recommend this place if you're looking for a reasonably priced, but far more relaxing and beautiful alternative to the big hotel chains near the airport.

Room Tip: All the rooms are nice; I had a first floor room. Next time, however, I will ask for a room on the o...

This attractive, but unassuming 4-story building "greets" you as you enter Playa del Rey, but once past the gate, it becomes nicer with every step, from the lovely garden and more than adequate parking outside to the beautifully decorated and extremely comfortable (bed)rooms and common rooms, to the beautiful views from the decks and the rooms. This B&B provides a varied and delicious breakfast each morning and wine and cheese every afternoon. But for all its charm and comfort, the stand-out amenity here is the fantastic and friendly attitude of the staff, all the time, making guests feel comfortable and welcome throughout their entire stay. This was a wonderful experience!

Enjoy the fun, fast paced action that Los Angeles has to offer, then escape to a quaint East Coast Style B&B with the quiet, classy, tones of a first class resort. Excellent food, friendly staff. FUN!

With it's white decor and beautiful views the Inn at Playa Del Rey was everything we'd heard! The staff couldn't have been better. Extremely helpful and pleasant. Rooms are very clean, quaint and updated. To be able to relax in the library or outside on the great couches or high top stools to see the bird sanctuary was fantastic. We're hooked!

This is a hidden gem! I could have stayed at a big LAX airport hotel, but here I got complementary parking and wifi, and it's a B&B! The rooms are wonderful, the staff welcoming, and the breakfast and happy hours are relaxing and fulfilling. There are even bicycles available for long or short rides up or down the coast on the close-by bike paths. You aren't even aware that you are minutes from the busy-ness of Los Angeles. I am definitely coming back.

Room Tip: I had a room facing the street, but the traffic noise was not bothersome --- the room was huge with...

The Inn at Playa Del Rey is a lovely, quiet respite from the congestion of LA. While only a
5 minute drive from Marina Del Rey and 15 minutes from Abbot Kinney Road in Venice, the Inn seems worlds away, but still close enough to drive to restaurants and sights. The rooms differ, but have that cozy B & B feel to them. The beds are incredibly comfortable. The view of the Ballona Wetlands affords bird sightings and different visuals in the changing light.
The staff in extremely pleasant and helpful. The afternoon wine and appetizers allow for guests to met and mingle. Included breakfast and free parking are a major perk.

We booked this hotel on the last minute for the last night of our 14 night Road Trip and it was the perfect ending to the holiday.
I was a little concerned as we approached and it was on the main road, but as soon as you walk into the front door you forget/don't notice this.
The welcome was warm and we were shown around the various areas (sitting/breakfast room) and the really helpful menu book for local restaurants.
The room was wonderful. So much space, lovely view, clean and the bed was FANTASTIC! The quilt was a like cloud. To be honest we didn't even want to go out for dinner the room was so lovely!
Breakfast was simple but again lovely and had everything we wanted.
We walked down to the beach which is just at the end of the Road and wished we were staying for a week!
Wonderful stay, would recommend this hotel for 1 night pre flight home from LAX (which was about 10 minutes away) or a romantic short break or a week in the summer - basically we loved it!

Room Tip: Spend a little extra and get one of the bigger rooms/with a view ours had a fire which made it extra...
