The Inn at 657 is a great location near downtown LA. We chose it based on the reviews on this website. We stayed here with another couple who we travel with frequently and we all agreed that we would definitely come back. We have stayed at many bed and breakfast and 657 ranks near the top. The breakfast was excellent with high quality and quantity. The rooms and the Inn itself have been completely remodeled and are very nice and very clean. We enjoyed walking around the neighborhood and checking out the Historic West Adams area. And Patsy the proprietor goes out of way to make your stay comfortable and convenient. Be sure to follow Patsy's advice on driving directions. We used the GPS unit and it got us there but it was not the best route. As to be expected with an older two story building, the floors and the stairs creak a little but not too much.

With the high quality of the Inn and the excellent breakfast this B&B is a great value. We paid $155 + tax per night per room. If you like B&Bs you will not regret staying at the Inn at 657.

I spent five nights at this B&B in the heart of LA- not the best neighborhood, but convenient to freeways, downtown, USC. Patsy and her team were great - very welcoming and always eager to be helpful with tips about the city. The breakfasts were delicious even though a bit heavy on eggs and fat. Inn is tastefully furnished, with all the comforts of home - rooms were clean (bathroom floor could have been a tad cleaner) and well appointed with all modern appliances. Would definitely stay here again.

Patsy's Inn is a wonderful home in downtown Los Angeles, near USC and not far from the Staples Center, that reminds us of the joys of meeting a real American (hostess) in her own home. Patsy dreamed of owning an Inn in downtown LA and made it happen - with beautiful rooms, each with adjoining bath, antiques everywhere, the most comfortable beds and best of all, a breakfast that is down-home American delicious. The very generous price includes free (protected) parking, cable TV, a beautiful garden and sheets that have her guests wondering at their softness. Patsy herself knows everything about LA and guides her guests to the best sights. I am so lucky to have found this LA home and to have stayed with Patsy numerous times. You will be fortunate if her home is available when you want to brave the LA scene and Patsy is there to guide you. Christine Burris, Washington, DC

We were two "mature-aged" couples from Australia travelling around North America for 6 weeks and stayed at Inn657 for 4 nights. It is indeed a gracious old building with lovely big rooms with very clean ensuites. Patsy, whilst some may say is different/difficult (mind you I do think one must be a little different to be able to run a successful B&B in central LA!), I found her to be a delight ,and she couldn't help us enough with any of our inquires. We accessed everything that we wanted to visit in LA (eg Universal Studios, Farmers Markets, Santa Monica Pier , Venice Beach, Hollywood etc) with no problem at all from the Inn's very central location. There are 2 laundromats just up the road, a Wal Mart and some excellent restaurants in the CBD. Do try Fire Station/Engine No 28 as it was a fantatstic place to eat - and another one of Patsy's great recommendations! The breakfasts at the Inn were pretty good too and if you had a particular request Patsy would do her best to see that you had it for breakfast the next day! Ask for some French Toast! It was superb!!

My daughter and I stayed at the Inn at 657 for 5 days - I can't recommend it highly enough. The room was charming, the breakfasts were wonderful, a warm and friendly place. It was amazing to find a place that made downtown LA feel like home. The natural history museum is walking distance, downtown museums and the music hall are a convenient short drive on city streets, and freeway access is easy. With breakfast and parking included, its an excellent value. We would definitely stay there again.
