I had to book one night at this BB because the other BB I would preferred was fully booked that night. We got there bit early than actual check-in time, so we called to see whether we can drop our luggage first. We had to wait 50 minutes to wait for 1 guest to load their car and leave the house!!

Once we got in, we have been told that the room was not ready, so we had leave our luggage in the lobby which we had no issue. Returned 3 hours later and found no one in the house with back door wide open. Like other viewers have mentioned, the whole house is in a mess, baby stuffs are everywhere, the linen are old and teared corner. They claimed that they have wireless internet, but we have tried both downstairs and upstairs, and there were no signal. Don't know what kind of wireless internet they meant!!

The most surprising, we have been to different BB in different country and continent, and we were stunned to find out that we had to search in the filthy fridge to MAKE our own breakfast. If the owner doesn't have time to prepare breakfast for her guests, the least she could have done is to hire a maid to prepare the breakfast.

The parking is not a big issue, if you can't find the parking at the front of the house, you can always park the car at the street behind the house. The location is good, just buy the $5/person daily pass.

We checked in and were greated by a very friendly staff who explained how the Inn worked. We were given a tour and were assisted with luggage to our second floor room. Once in our room, we knew this would not be your typical B&B experience. We did not have anyone cleaning the room, or the shared bathroom, during our stay. The breakfast part was "do it yourself", which we only did once and said that was enough. We took it outside to eat on the table on the back porch as there was nowhere else to eat. It was very much like staying in someone else's home and we did go for days without seeing anyone. We found it quite stuffy and warm upstairs without the AC on, so we generally turned it on ourselves when we came in, only to find it turned off the next day. We found the location very convenient and learned how to utilize the bus system to get back and forth almost everywhere we went. Sharing a bathroom was a hastle, locking and unlocking the doors and moving your personal items back and forth. There was a beautiful sitting parlor with a lovely, well stocked liquor cabinet that we left alone. We didn't ask, nor were we told it was available for our consumption. At times, there was a need to speak to someone, but they were either not there or not coming out of their room. We weren't told how to contact them if we needed anything. At one point, there was a couple that showed up banging on the door and saying they had reservations for the night. It turned out that they had been double booked and no one in charge was there for quite a while to sort it all out. We made this reservation not knowing anything about LA or where to stay. Now that we've been there and feel like we know our way around somewhat, we'll stay somewhere else next time. Reasons being, we would like a private bath, daily maid service and consistent air conditioning. (They would prefer we slept with the windows open but the heat and the traffic noise prohibited that. We felt our comfort seemed to be an imposition upon them because every morning, the air was turned off again.) This Inn is supposedly a B&B but that is REALLY a stretch to call it that. Breakfast foods that were listed as available was far from true. There was plenty of fruit but juices, eggs and bread were not readily available. Same with cereals. It really wasn't clear what were guest food items and what belonged to the family that lived there and was off limits to guests.

  • Disliked — Not a true B&B, felt like intruder in someone's home.

I stayed in this property last year and never got round to writing a review at the time so it's interesting to see that other people got the same kind of treatment that I did. I have to say this is probably the most uncomfortable stay I have ever had. Never have I been made to feel so unwelcome or in the way as here.

The house was unclean and I also had to share a bathroom with people who live in the house and all their personal stuff was there, not to mention their personal medication which was in the grubby fridge I was meant to serve my breakfast from (and then stand around in the kitchen eating it as you're not actually allowed in the dining room!).

Our key didn't work properly and we were made to feel like idiots when we couldn't open the door, I was laughed at because I didn't know how to use a coffee perculator, it's unclear what you can help yourself to....I could go on and on. Just do yourself a favour and stay elsewhere!

Although the owner was friendly and willing to let me check in early after arriving in LA on a red eye, I have to report that this place was not acceptable. After checking in and taking a shower, I actually decided not to stay. The room was very small, with stained carpet. It was in the back of the house behind a mud room. The bathroom was in the hall outside the room. When I showered, I realized it had not been cleaned since the last guest. The bathroom rug was even wet from the previous person showering. Yuck!
It feels like you are just staying at someone's house (which would be fine if you knew that someone). There was someone else's toiletries in the bathroom (not to mention someone else's hair). The decor is 70s era clutter, which might be retro hip if the room and bathroom were clean. For $85-100 per night, you can find a cleaner motel or hotel with as much or more atmosphere. This place is creepy.

  • Liked — nothing
  • Disliked — disgusting bathroom not cleaned since last user.

Have to agree with the other reviewers....when we arrived to the B&B we were expecting how it was described "adjacent to Beverly Hills and where the entertainment industry meets and sleeps" but what we found was it was adjacent to a gas station and it lacked any luster. We had a shared bathroom but no one was in the other room so we had it to ourselves. Parking is none existing- the driveway is basically only for one car, that being the owners- so plan on parking on the street which was fine since we found a spot not far away. The room was large but could use new bedding. While getting ready to go out, I had my heels on for literally 2 minutes and was asked to take them off. The hosts were not what i would expect for a B&B. Didn't even attempt to have breakfast in the morning. Was disappointed overall but the one good thing was it was affordable for being in LA.
