I stayed 1 night here by redeeming an unbelievably low 5000 Reward points. Unfortunately, I don't think that's routine, only a promo deal.

The hotel lobby is beautiful & grand. Very airy; open and maybe 2 stories tall surrounded by skylights and glass everything. The decor was regal as well; had a 'Ming Dynasty' aesthetic to it.

Check-in was swift and my request for a corner room was fully granted.

My king room was certainly spacious and had 2 balconies. Everything was clean & crisp. Two complimentary mini-Evian bottles are provided on the armoire. Nice touch!

The bathroom is equally spacious with a bathtub on one side, and a stand-up shower on the other side. The toilet directly faces the shower.

The best thing about this hotel is the car valet service. There are always 2-3 guys handling the valey service so the max. wait time is 2 minutes.

Valet = $25. Internet = $10.

This Hotel is excellent, great service, not to far from airport, very close to beverly hills, sunset blvd, even easy to get to universal, we stay in room 1025, we got a good deal on price, but doesnt matter they still treat us the same, they're excellent, i would love to go back.

The Intercontinental Los Angeles was simply amazing. My partner and I stayed there for 2 nights during my first visit to California. The accomodations were wonderful and we had a great view of the LA skyline and the jacuzzi area. The room was very spacious and the bed was HUGE; you literally sink into comfort. The lobby was visually appeasing with fresh flowers in vases that seemed 5 feet tall, artwork and friendly smiling faces. The wait staff in the restaurant were extremely accomodating and friendly with fresh coffee and tea served every morning until 10 am at no charge. I highly recommend the Mountain Berry blend but be careful, making the tea yourself can be a bit tricky.

The bathroom was large and very plush with huge towels but be careful, I slipped a couple of times entering the shower.

The ONLY negative thing I have to say is the hotel is in a seemingly remote area and nothing seemed to be within walking distance. BUT if you have a rental, you're good to go!

I too stayed here often when it was a Park Hyatt. I am happy to report that almost everyone that I grew to know has stayed on with the Intercontinental. Great staff who show genuine interest in their guests, I always feel at home here. The rooms are still great with wonderful views and private balconies, but should receive some attention soon (like a flat screen TV please?!). The menu in the restaurant is a little tired too. A lot of old items from Hyatt on there, I think they're still looking for a chef. These 2 slight negatives are far out weighed by the great staff, the great location (hotels within 3 miles with this standard cost twice as much), and the amenities (wonderful spa and mercedes limo are my favorites). I really hope Intercontinental keeps up the great work so far...

Intercontinental Hotel, Century City. Formerly Park Hyatt.
We took the scenic drive from Burbank Airport- through the streets, passing through Cahuenga, Highland, Sunset Boulevard, La Cienega, then Santa Monica Boulevard. We passed Trader Vics, Dan Tanas, The Troubador, The Roxy, The Beverly Hilton, and many other famous venues.
Pricey $ 25.00 a day mandatory valet parking -no self parking here. Soaring modern indoor glass atrium with all marble lobby.Gracious reception personnel and bellmen.
Our two-room "Deluxe" overlooked the backlots of Fox Studios.
Living room contained plush couch, chairs, work desk, bureau, TV credenza, minibar, and safe. Bedroom contained a very comfortable bed, dresser, and side tables.
Pink marbeled bathroom is accessed through living room or bedroom, and contained a separate tub, stall shower, and upgraded toiletries. Large closet contained two robes and slippers for guest use.
The balcony is adorned with a live flower basket, two chairs and a small table. We watched the sun set over West LA.
Some guest rooms contained lavish outdoor patios with cushioned chaise lounge chairs, palm trees, and spectacular views.
A hospitable bartender served us a few cocktails in the off-lobby Park Grill Lounge. Nice snack menu available in the lounge, with full menu in the restaurant.
About a 3/4 mile walk to the Westfield Century City Mall, and
to Santa Monica Boulevard. Hotel is very nice- but is somewhat "location challenged," for the guest who likes to walk to attractions.
A quick 20 minute ride west on Santa Monica brought us to the pier and beach. Lovely outdoor pool and jacuzzi- with ample and comfortable seating. Overall, a good upscale experience.

  • Liked — Upscale and plush rooms, and dramatic public spaces.
  • Disliked — Somewhat out of the way location.
