“Reminiscent of Hawaii”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 11, 2012

Although not the same ambience as Roys in Hawaii Kai, Waikiki, or Poipu Beach, eating at Roys Woodland Hills, CA brings back great memories of "ono" Hawaii-inspired food!

“Can't go wrong!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 11, 2012

If you're looking for consistency, Roy's is the place. You can ALWAYS count on a good meal no matter which Roys you choose. The fish is outstanding. A favorite is the butterfish. It's outstanding. If they have opahkapaka (spelling?) don't hesitate - it's to die for! The sauces are not overpowering and only enhance their meals. I don't think there's a "bad" thing on the menu. Of course, the chocolate souffle is a must.

“delicious appetizer "boat"”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 3, 2012

I had heard a lot about Roy's, some good and some mixed. I wasn't terribly hungry when I went so opted for Roy's Canoe Appetizers for Two, thinking by dinner mate would share with me, but as it turned out he only sampled a few of the selections. The Canoe has grilled pork skewers, teppanyaki shrimp, lobster wonton, crispy spicy tuna, and blackened ahi. I highly recommend this, it's a great "sample" plate and works as an entree for one. For dessert, we shared a pineapply upside down cake and it had the right amount of sweetness, not too, to end the meal.

“Always A Hit!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 1, 2012

Here are my top reasons for a five star review:
Best Happy Hour in Woodland Hills!
Best Mai Tai in Woodland Hills!
Best Lava Cake in Woodland Hills!
Best Seafood in Woodland Hills! Ok, that one probably isn't fair. What would I compare it to? Red Lobster? Ok, the menu at Roy's has something for everyone but its seafood dishes are the star. The portions are just right; not excessive but not petite. The atmosphere is pleasant and could serve as a perfect backdrop for anything from professional to romantic or anything in between. We got the royal treatment for our anniversary dinner a few years ago but we kinda feel like we get that treatment every time we go. Last time we took our adult kids for happy hour. It was a big hit and now a regular part of their routine. Yay!

“Must visit Roy's”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 11, 2012

The food is fabulous! You can not go wrong with anything you order. Must be prepared to spend around $50 per person (more if you drink) but it is worth it especially for a special occasion. The Butter Fish and Short Ribs are to die for.
