This was a great find in the limited time we had in LA. Glasses were never empty and the pizza was yummy :)

Good Italian at good prices. The food came fast, but the mark of a good waiter is how often they fill your glass of water.. in which case he did an okay job.

“Where to eat at night, with a family, after visiting the Getty”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 31, 2007

Following a wonderful day at the Getty Museum in L.A. ,we were thrilled to find an excellent, affordable, Italian restaurant within minutes of the Getty that allowed us to dine while the traffic congestion cleared. Just a few blocks from the 405 fwy on Pico Ave., across from a large shopping mall, we found "Maria's". The parking was easy (coin meters in the alley behind the restaurant- or valet), the service was friendly and excellent, the buttery Italian bread was wonderful, lots of choices for dinner,(even for the vegetarians in our family), and the decor was cheerful (holiday decorations) and intimate. Although we felt it was too cold to enjoy their inviting patio area (even with heaters available- it was December!), we hope to return in the summer. We topped off the evening with a trip to the large Barnes and Noble bookstore just a block away, then jumped on the 405 and headed for home after a perfect day in L.A.! We will be back!
