“Too full to eat!”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed September 25, 2013

I went on a four day architectural tour of Los Angeles and went to all the sights I've always wanted to visit. The Farmer's Market was one of them. We were going there around 5 p.m. on a Friday and had toured Hollywood Boulevard in the morning and had lunch there. I totally forgot about going for dinner at the Market so I ate a big lunch and then remembered I shouldn't have! I did leave room for Bennett's homemade ice cream though. They only have the pumpkin ice cream which has been mentioned on a few posts during the holidays. So I sampled the salted caramel which was also written up and wound up with Everything Chocolate - chocolate ice cream with chocolate chunks and some fudge ripple and it was divine. It is $4.00 for a small scoop and after I walked around, I was tempted to get another one as it wasn't enough, but I didn't give in. If I had been able to eat more, I definitely would have gone to iLoteria! Grill for Mexican food. Some of the folks on the tour went there and said it was delicious. Another person's favorite is the Gumbo Pot. Bryan's Pit Barbecue smelled delicious and there was a line there. Phil's Deli was also busy. I hate to say it, but I can understand why some people weren't all that impressed with the Farmer's Market. We had 2 1/2 hours there which was too long, so I walked over to The Grove which is right there. You just cross a small street. Still it's worth a visit, especially if you go to The Grove too.

“Just as much fun as ever”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 7, 2013

I love this place and have been coming here for more than 40 years..Why? In my younger years, it was a great place for people watching. While that's still fun, I've found that this is the place for truly exotic fruits and vegetables, including varieties of plums, pluots, rambutan, and many types of berries that I can't find anywhere else. They have a couple of great butcher shops, and several restaurants with Brazilian, Cajun/Creole and other nationalities...if you buy anything, be sure to get your parking ticket validated...

“Great place for selection”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 25, 2013

We have been here a couple times now. It is a great place to go with a lot of people. No one has to settle! There is something for everyone. From Cajun to Korean to Chinese to Greek to Hot Dogs to Burgers to . . . Something for everyone at all price levels. It is like a homegrown mall food court with no chain restaurants (other that Johnny Rockets on the outside).

Great people watching. Many restaurants and shops to to choose from. Lots of shade. The food court has a large variety of foods to select from. Asian, American, Italian, just to name a few.

“The food was great”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 18, 2013

This is a great place to dine if your family or group is undecided. Barbecue, Portuguese, fish, salads, burgers, pizza; all in one place. The food was fresh.
