“Pleasant surprise would stay again”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 3 days ago NEW

We originally booked in here for 2 nights during a 4 week road trip. The area looks a bit run down but we had no issues. Walking distance to the walk of fame. Operated by a nice Asian gentleman. Room was very clean, good wifi, felt safe there and ended staying an extra night. Would Deffo recommend if your looking for some were central, clean & safe. Would visit again, good value for money.

The place might not look too flash from the outside but the rooms are spacious, well equipped and clean. The bed was was so comfortable and we did not have any issues sleeping or waking up from noise - we were on the top floor so I think this may have helped that.
The Hollywood walk of fame, Chinese theatre etc are a few km walk down Hollywood blvd and the theatre is about half way in between. There is a grocery store a short walk away, as is the subway, bus, and thai/Chinese restuarants. It was so easy catching the bus up to main area on Hollywood blvd if we didn't want to walk, and we were only 3 subway stations from universal studios.
My only negative is that it's not a particularly nice area to walk around at night and would recommend catching public transport back to the motel or taxi. That being said, I think that applies to many areas in LA besides places like Beverley Hills.

Room Tip: Ask for a room on the top floor

I've stayed at this motel several times and find it to be clean and modern. It's a step above most of the motels in the area. The staff watches guests like a hawk, though, and don't be even a minute late for breakfast as they pick it up early. They are very unaccommodating in that respect.

This little hotel was excellent for us! We stayed for 2 night and wanted to know the Hollywood area either by car or by foot. We were really pleased to have found this place. The room wasn't that big, but it was very comfortable, clean and noise isolated (a big issue for me),nice bed, nice bathroom and the staff is very polite.

The hotel has their own parking lot. they serve a very simple breakfast (just go and have breakfast somewhere else) but at least you wont starve to death when starting your morning.

For Hollywood area standards, I think It was a really good deal.
Cheers!

It was joy to have found this inn after a day of sight seeing and having a full day of traveling by car. We found our room to be very clean/ample in size accommodating 3 of us and delighted to see that it would accommodate as many as 4-5 easily as we often travel with 2 other friends. and the price was very reasonable. The proprietor of our temporary "home" was genuine soul, helpful and gracious. Room came with a continental breakfast which we ate by the pool , parking was available right on the premises and easy to get to other sites we wanted to see. Over all it was excellent.

This place is a little gem. For the price, the room is lovely. Very spacious and clean and the pool isn't half bad either!

We had a car and it didn't take us more than 10-15 minutes to get to most of the tourist places. So it probably wouldn't cost a lot for a cab. If you can, it sometimes works out a little cheaper not to pre book and to just turn up, but obviously you can't guarantee a room.

The only criticism I have is the breakfast, it's just a little cereal, a few bread items and doughnuts, which you have to either take to your room or eat by the pool. And there's often a queue. This didn't bother us too much though.

Overall a great little place to stay.

Although you can pick economy lodging to pieces, guests should go elseware (and pay 2-3X more/night) if they want total luxury right in the happening areas of Hollywood (e.g., Melrose, Sunset, HW Blvds.). As I always see the glass half-full in life, let me name the positives:

--Complimentary Breakfast (Saved me at least $30 each day for the 3 of us)

--Comp WiFi / Signal Quality in room (in Vegas you pay $12.95 MINIMUM per 24 hours)

--Employee demeanor / help / professionalism

--Location (to Metro / Uni Studios)

--Desktop PC in Lobby w/printer (other hotels now charging $7.99 to print a plane boarding pass)

--Free parking

--Pleasant pool / garden (many rose bushes !!)

--Large extra guest room w/sofa sleeper for my daughter.

--Value price (3 of us stayed for 3 nights in heart of LA for $410.00 (!!). Try that at Marriott / Hilton.

IF I had to mention one thing, the noise of other guests at night can bother (e.g., overhead stomping, voices or slamming / squeaking doors along the hallways).

Room Tip: Top floor.
