“Wow!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 18, 2013

Like many others - we saw this on Diners, Drive Ins and Dives and as soon as they said Duck Cracklins - we had that on our to do list as soon as we got to California!
Ordered Death by Duck - enjoyed it so much we ordered another!
Ordered Chicken Wings with sauce on the side - crispy and perfect!
Ordered Grilled cheese - loved it (came home and tried to duplicate it, not as good as the real thing)
Beers on tap!
It is a small place so - call ahead if you have a big group.
It is loud and not the place for kids - but we loved it and plan to go back.

“More of a 3 1/2”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed October 15, 2013

We saw Beer Belly on Diners, Drive-ins, and Dives and were dying to try it. Unfortunately, it was just okay. The positives: our waitress (very friendly, informative, and caring) my beer (had coffee in it and was delicious considering I'm not a big coffee person!!), Death by Duck fries (the fries had an amazing crispiness to it and the combination of the duck with the raspberry dip was amazing and worth coming back for), and the chocolate chip ice cream that accompanied my Deep Fried Oatmeal Creme Pie. The negatives: the Duck French Dip (too bland--maybe duck au jus just isn't as flavorful as beef?), the French Onion Mac 'n' Cheese (great idea, but a bit dry and maybe could use some truffles), and the Oatmeal Creme Pie (the best part of the pie is the cream and it was my fault for not realizing the cream would disappear once fried, so the remaining cookie was not good). I'm a big beer lover, so I'd try to come back for the beer and the fries, but if I couldn't make it back, I wouldn't be sad.

“Amazing beer and atmosphere”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 25, 2013

The beer and atmosphere were great (like the title suggests!) but the food was a little rich for my liking.

“Hard to find but can't be beat!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 14, 2013

Deep fried duck livers (tastes like chicken), duck fat fries, and bleu balls, accompanied by one of their own brews - YUM! It's a small place, so reservations strongly recommended.

“Glad we Went”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 5, 2013

Saw this place on Triple D and thought we would try it while in town - they even held our reservation for 30 minutes(LA traffic is the worst). We were not disappointed. Great selection of craft beer to go with your food. Try the bacon fat fries - awesome. Short rib is to die for. Deep fried deserts were a hit with my teenagers.
