This place was a very good dinner experience and great value for the money.
Located next to the Motel 6 on the east (right) side heading north on De Soto, just before Sherman Way. Not on the corner - just before it. There's a big, red, square sign that has their signature picture of a hindu girl meditating. Plenty of private parking.
Comfortable chairs. Cloth tablecloths and napkins. A small candle on the table. Nice instrumental music. Hindu artwork, including a large fountain in the dining room of the meditating hindu girl. The bathroom was clean, with ice cubes in the men's urinals.
There's a private room with white leather couches, a coffee table to eat off, and a TV. Another private room has a regular table and can seat four.
They bring you crispy cracker bread while you wait, along with two spice sauces.
We tried the sizzling lamb platter and the lamb mango curry, along with saffron rice (with vegetables). The lamb was tasty, cooked in a tandoori oven. The curry was nice and sweet with a little spice, and came in a brass hotpot. We didn't ask for more spice but will next time. For two people it was more than enough food, and we took some home.
The servers were very polite and professional.
We had a http://restaurant.com $25 certificate. The cost was $27, including the tip. The server said they also do Groupon - $10 for $20.
It was a pleasant experience, so we will be back to try the goat curry.
