“My pub of choice after a game of cricket!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 14, 2013

A good place to get food drink and service after a game of cricket at Woodley.

Just excellent and a great must instead of the Springbok bar where the service is dire.

“Yummy Comfort Food”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 27, 2012

Robin Hood British Pub is the place to go for Guinness and comfort food. I've eaten here many times over the years, but most recently for the first time with my British boyfriend. We went on a rainy Saturday afternoon, this place is perfect on cold days, as it feels so cozy and serves hearty meals.

I had the steak and mushroom pie and he had Bangers and Mash. Both were big hits and we cleaned our plates. We had a few pints of Guinness to get us prepped to go holiday shopping next door at Friar Tucks.

This is a great, local pub. The service is good and the staff is nice, but it's the type of place that they expect you to linger, so don't come here if you are in a rush.

My boyfriend even confirmed that it felt like the pubs that he has back home in England.

“Best Place To Wind Down”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 5, 2012

I've been to Robin Hood too many times to count. I've gone with my husband, with friends, with my sisters and on my birthday. The food is great, I won't eat fish n' chips anywhere else. The batter is flaky and not oily, try it with Marie Rose and a nice tall Blackthorn Cider. Recommended also are the Scotch Egg and meat pies. Great bar atmosphere, laid back and friendly people come to watch sports on telly or play darts. Usually busy on weekends but very uplifting and worth a visit. The traditional english dining room accommodates large parties and is also a wonderful atmosphere. Just talking about it makes me want to visit again soon.

“atmosphere, comfort, class”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 22, 2012

you get all that PLUS delicious sandwiches and beer or ale served in the proper shaped glass! Did really enjoy the British (chicken) club sandwich and would have LOVED a bite of the Reuben that was being devoured next to me, but my dear sweet girlfriend was happily eating it all with her widden - wheat ale, i mean not so much as a nibble for me! :-( Good service in the mid afternoon on a Thursday. a nice place to meet and talk.

“One of LA's Better British Pubs”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 12, 2012

It's an unsuspecting place in the San Fernando Valley with well prepared British specialties and an excellent assortment of ales on tap. The fish and chips are excellent as are the shepherd's pie, chicken pot pie, cornish pasties etc. They have a daily vegetarian special and once in a while, the best vegetarian cornish pasty you'll find anywhere. There are more serious "specials" as well, usually a fish entree and something meaty. You can order mushy pies on the side. They have traditional English dinner on Sundays and holidays. You can even find cider on tap. It has a real pub atmosphere, dark, woody with the obligatory dart boards. The jukebox is truly excellent.
