Last night was our second time at Madeo and once again they did not disappoint. This high end, celebrity hangout lives up to its reputation. The service is almost overwhelming. The wait staff is very professional, personable and eager to answer questions about the menu or the huge wine list. I’ve read reviews that were critical of the service, and frankly I don’t get it. The moment you sit down, a plate of focaccia, basket of bread and plate of cheese and olives appears. All of the pastas are homemade. The Bolognese is the best I’ve eaten outside of Italy. The roasted Leg of Veal, hand carved, melts in your mouth, and the Osso Buco was to die for. Save room for the dessert tray featuring homemade desserts. And to top it all off, the owner/chief, this little Italian man visits every table. This is a great place to go for a special occasion, or if you crave Italy, but can only get a far as WeHo
